Well, if you're like me, you know that a man—if he's a comic book artist—isn't truly a man until he has one of these.
So awhile back, I commissioned Fred Hembeck to draw up his interpretation/recreation of Joe's cover to AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #544, the first part of "One More Day" as a gift for Joe.
I had it all nicely matted and framed at a local framing house (it took them a week to get the job done, because "our framer is on vacation for a week." Which begs the question of what goes on in the Framing shop during the week when the one-and-only framing guy is on vacation.) And he seemed genuinely touched by the gesture.
Of course, then I said that, if he ran into any scheduling problems on the balance of "One More Day," we could always get Fred to come in and help out, and immediately pissed away all that good will...
More later.

That is SO much better than the Jelly of the month club!
