Spidey's message about shipping 3-times a month!

-Wacker

AWESOME.
I love Dan Slott.

Posted by stuckinazkaban on 2007-12-06 17:12:00
Well
Deadpool isn't my thing, but I did consider buying an issue once. They had a cover with Deadpool saying, "C'mon! If you don't buy this they'll cancel me!"

There's something about blantant honesty that's just so refreshing. Thanks for the joke, Steve.

Back to work, Wacker.
Like you need to be screwing around on the internet all day...

Heh-heh
The amount of times I've felt like Spidey should just come straight out with it like that...

Seriously, though, I am REALLY looking forward to Slott and McNiven's work on ASM.

Posted by Paulymorph on 2007-12-07 11:18:39
love ya spidey
I got into Spider-man because 1) his powers would be awesome to have and 2) his Parker persona is a smart geek who never fits in. I am proud to say that I am like that. I also can not wait to see the conclusion of one more day. Our web slinger can't win so how is he going to lose?

Posted by marypeter on 2007-12-07 15:26:12
With the way the fanboys have been crying lately even though they're all going to be throwing their money at BND, that lil preview right there is the best way to handle the internet promotion since they apparently love the abuse.

Hell, I'd pay to see Spidey go door to door pistol whipping.

Go, Team Slott!

Brand New Day cannot get here fast enough. I am sick of hearing everyone whine about One More Day. Dan Slott was born for this book, great choice.

Posted by wolviebeserker on 2007-12-10 11:34:25
Well played, Wacker. As always.
Dying for Slott & McNiven and the rest of the BND boys.
But Slott, specifically, was born for this book. Go, Team BND!

Posted by Nas-Vell on 2007-12-10 13:52:14
Well, if so many people are complaining about One More Day, maybe there's a reason for it. Ever thought of that?

Posted by Deadpond on 2007-12-10 13:54:37
Yes we've thought of it, but that doesn't mak
There's a reason, but the reason isn't based on the story.

I've seen a couple of reviews talk about the art. I've seen a few comments about the dialog. I've seen mountains and mountains of griping about the ending, despite the fact that the ending hasn't come out yet. That means those people had their opinions before they ever read the comic, which isn't a very interesting kind of complaining to listen to.

Posted by CodeGuy on 2007-12-10 15:41:18
Looking forward to checking out the BND, I've been reading Amazing since issue #77! I've seen lots of changes over the years.

Posted by peter parker jr on 2007-12-11 19:07:46
Excited, but Nervous
Marvel hasn't really shown the ability to handle this character, and the fact that they are keeping him in New Avengers tells me that I have reason to believe that they just don't understand the character, and that completely backs up all of the failures with this character since the Clone Saga. 12 years since, and very few fondly remembered Spider-Man stories. It's understandable to not believe in Marvel this time considering the track record.

Having said that, Slott and Gale are on the same page as I am. I hope the other two guys don't drag things down when it's their arc.

I'm not a big fan of the rotating artist thing, although it could produce quite a few new "classic" stories for TPB collections. If Spider-Man TPBs start coming out fast and furious with top artists drawing them, I would expect quite a bit of money will be made.

Having said that, here is a list of artists that I would love to own a collection of a 5-8 issue story arc featuring their art in all of them.

Greg Capullo
Dale Keown
Marc Silvestri
Mike Zeck
Carlos Pacheco
David Finch

What Ever
I would have to say that the people rasing kaine about one more day should shut up. The ending will be talked about for years and i think that spidey could use a major charecter change. Marvel's current writers hae handeled our web head as they see fit. No we do not have Stan Lee's writing anymore but they are still talented and have done a great job bring Marvel's poster child into the 21'st century.

Posted by marypeter on 2007-12-13 11:56:39
I hate rotating artists, and I have no idea how I'll handle rotating creative teams weekly. Hopefully, this will make for several great Spidey TPB collections. Some artists I'd like to own a Spidey collection featuring the work of for a complete story are Greg Capullo, Carlos Pacheco, Marc Silvestri, David Finch, Dale Keown, Mike Zeck, and Barry Windsor-Smith. Spider-Man is really short on producing any classics in the last 15 years. A well written 6 parter drawn by BWS would have Kraven's Last Hunt staying power.

I am not buying any more Spider-Man.
So I read OMD off the shelves do you know why? Because each issue failed to entertain me AND I was insulted. Why should I pay money for that? In fact the last issue was insulting I have decided NOT to buy any more Spider-Man comics. I am the customer and not just Q-Boy with his pointy hat, but Marvel itself has pushed me away from Spider-Man. Q-Boy says that this coming arc will be 'great' a 'new age of Spider-Man'

That is not going to cut it. That is like telling someone 'let me dump this sewer sludge on you but don't worry we promise you this rich delicious cake!' Now you can't see the cake, you can't smell it, in fact is it even going to be ready on time? While you're wondering if that cake is going to come you can feel that slimy goop of sludge crawling down your back. The awful stench climbing up into your nostrils like a rat in a little hole in a door. I began to gag and then it hit ne:

'I'm paying for them to do this to me!'

And I began to scream.

Don't fall for Marvel anymore. They have to respect me, the customer, first before they can get my money.

I'm not one of those fans that tries to force the writers to do what I think is best. So many great ideas story wise came up but were over hyped and poorly executed. (Okay there was Sin's Past but that didn't happen remember?) The first 12 issues of Marvel Knights Spidey was great! Spider-Man joining the Avengers, though not well written I think it was a sign of Spidey maturing and getting somewhere. Though he is a loner at heart. Then his unmasking now that was GREAT stuff!

But OMD with Q-Boy's help just crashed it all down.

And I'm sure this letter isn't going to appear in the issue because I'm one of 'those' customers. I'm the guy who 'complains' but that's okay. What Marvel won't see as okay is that I didn't pay money for those issues. I was insulted and so it wasn't worth it to pay so I set the issues back on the shelve and got somethign else. Something better.

Something that did not insult me.

Good-bye Peter Parker.
-David Banes.

One of the Best books out there!
Spidey is gonna be so awesome! I liked the movies because they weren't all grown up! I think that's what sparked so many people to pick up Ultimate Spider-Man #1! It was only natural that Q-man would have the guts to do this! The public was telling the Marvel publishing company that they wanted a younger, funner and funnier Spidey!

Posted by JHowlett8 on 2007-12-29 03:26:37
I apologize...
... in advance to the creators of Brand New Day, who may possibly fashion decent stories. I apologize because Joe's editorial decisions, on this book and on others, have driven me from Marvel. More than two decades of loyal readership and Joe repays that by slipping a rhetorical knife into my back, with the end of One More Day, the capstone of an era of wretched storytelling at Marvel, in my view.

Just an awful, awful story.

Posted by TenToOne on 2007-12-29 10:34:43
Congratulations! You've turned Marvel into DC, where things can just be ignored, redone, or undone at the merest whim!
Hey, let's reintroduce Cap as a brand-new character that's never existed before! Screw the fans, let's go WILD!!

I grew up reading Spidey pre-marriage. I enjoyed it. I've read the JMS' Peter/MJ marriage stories. I enjoyed them.

I didn't want their marriage dissolved. But, I did enjoy their heartbreaking last moments together. JMS did an incredible job with what he had to work with.

I don't agree with Joe Q's decision, but I don't hate him like many, many others do.

I do look forward to what is to come. The creative teams lined up have me excited and interested.

The ComicBloc message board has many posters livid over OMD. I think I've read only two other posts that enjoyed OMD.

good luck
You will have to do something Amazing, Spectacular, and Sensational to get me to read Spider-Man after the flaming car wreck known as "One More Day". The arc should have been "12 dollars Less", which is the money I save by NOT reading rebooted Spidey.

Spiderman's Last Day
OMD was crap. Regardless of how well Spidey gets written from here it wont be him. You cannot undue 20 years of history and think it is good. As a long fan I am especially impressed how we keep getting told that it is done, and that the current staff have nothing to do with it and just tell us we will have great storys read them, forget what happed with OMD... Brand New Day is what counts. Comics should move forward, Kill MJ, break them up, sacrifice her to give life to May, I dont care. Put Harry's haunting spirit in her rotting corpse, turn her into this Jackpot and let her run around thinking she is now a clone...turn into red sonya...any crap storyline would be better then were this is going. Hell bring Ben back and give him his own title, and they could have there single spidey. All i can hope for is OMD/BND becomes a bad dream or whatif Spidey had made the choice, and may kicks off and becomes depressed and MJ runs off with ...even Norman Osborn..even that would make more sence.

Posted by MattDS on 2008-01-02 22:22:42
Ahhh it will still be garbage
Mmmmmmm I smell the burning scent of crap. I will be honest, I think Joe Q has been on a good kick, but even the EiC makes a bad call from time to time. Am I mad about Pete and MJ...nope. So what am I mad about? Ohhh I dunno know how about the last 15 years of Spidy ment jack. Civil War meant jack, New Avengers meant Jack, his fight with Kingpin meant Jack, and heck pretty much everything that I liked what marvel had done until now had meant jack.

What is sad, is that Marvel has was washed their hands clean. They don't care about continuity and personally I think they ruined the vision of Stan Lee's Peter Parker. The guy was suppose to face real life problems, and instead keeping such great work in the Marvel U, they said you know lets relive the Stan Lee Glory Days.

Yes I wanted a more modern Pete, but did I care if he aged...no. Because he is not Webster! Make me believe....make me believe he is a single fun loving guy againbut do it REALISTICALLY! It is a sad day when Marvel will not address the Continuity of the character on their website, which I think is HIGHLY OWED to the fans. I cancel my subscription until they get off this lame Magic Kick, and write a believeable story I could enjoy.

I'm through with Spider Man
OMD was so awful, to truly awful, that I will not be buying any more Spider Man comic books in the forseeable future.

I can't think of anything lazier than had the devil show up, snap his fingers and suddenly Peter Parker is single and his identity is secret again.

There's no other way to describe it than STUPID and LAZY.

OMD key to the soul of comics
What I think a lot of fans are forgetting is that comics are not about growing up. They are about denying the demands of the real world and suiting up to have adventures, often with a mask to hide your identity and shame. Comics are also, since the CCA, about never dealing with your puberty and sexuality. You aren't allowed to grow up in the comics world, and if you don't watch out, as a to involved reader of them, you won't ever get the cues for growing up yourself. Frustrated that Peter chooses to save May rather than his marriage to MJ? You're lost because you don't get it. If you let comic world decisions ruin your mood as if they were affecting your own life, you just don't get the connection. I remember my own awakening from the nerd's safe haven of the comic book universe and suddenly having relationships and dealing with life. "Rediscovering" comics in middle age, I'm all too easily reminded that nothing has changed except the paper and the names. Everything else has stayed Peter Pan true to the ethos that keeps it alive: Never Grow Up and Never Outgrow Your Habits.

Posted by GlebJolie on 2008-01-07 14:39:57
addendum
I am aware of the forays into reality that comics, and particularly Marvel, have used to lure grown-up fans back into Fantasyland, but then the stories begin to read like some kind of TV script and the layouts lose their real appeal. That's what I want is page after page of "reality." Even hard-boiled fiction is preferable to the CNN-isms that pass for real-life situations in comics these days. They didn't work in the 70's and they don't work now. That said, the only believable forum for change in comics is in the psyche, where beliefs are malleable and nothing is truly fixed except the need for illusion.

Posted by squirrelboy on 2008-01-07 19:02:12
You Lost Me With OMD
I will not buy another Spidey comic until OMD is destroyed. Spidey would never undo his marriage to MJ and would never, ever make a deal with the devil to do it. You've destroyed the Spidey we've all grown up with. Maybe other characters could make satanic pacts, but not Spidey. I won't buy this because Spidey is no longer my hero.

Posted by HiddenVorlon on 2008-01-07 19:42:24
When Will You Ever Learn?
In 1965, the first comic I ever bought, Amazing Spider-Man # 24, introduced me to Peter Parker and his amazing world. Since then (i.e. for the past 43 years), it's been one of my greatest pleasures to regularly drop in and visit Pete as his life, like mine, progressed and unfolded. To me (and, I'm sure, to many others), Pete is a friend - a friend who, like, me, has experienced many loves, dreams, goals, disappointments, responsibilities, tragedies and triumphs. I just wish that Marvel, who have tried this whole reboot thing before (i.e. Ben Riley, & John Byrne's Spider-Man: Chapter One), would finally realize that Spider-Man is not a disposable, interchangeable product, and that his success is due to our ongoing interest in the "life" of Peter Parker.

FIRE Joe Quesada
JOE-
I think the whole story line, screwing with your best
Marvel Character, going back 20 years is the worst
idea I could even Imagine. I have read spiderman
comics for 25 years now, have them all. To have
spiderman start over by making a deal with a devil,
lose his powers, getting back his stupid web shooters,
and keeping aunt may alive,(which she was killed
before) is poor planning and just a terrible story
line. Is'nt this why marvel came up with Ultimate
Spiderman, to keep him a young kid, a nerd, and have no
life? Peter has grown up, gotten married and
was living a good life out of Aunt little May's house! I would have killed aunt may AND MJ, making spiderman a more darker and kick %@%$@!@ super hero with his new inhanced powers from his
"other" storyline. Tell me Joe, why did you go back and put him
living under the same roof with aunt may? GAY!!!!
AND:
I really dont see how they are going to fit him in
with his New Avengers story lines, other cross overs
and really makes no sense to me. (NO SKRULL IDEA'S PLEASE) Is anyone with me? I thought the civil war story was a terrible idea, ironspiderman was just horrible and if someone doesnt change the way Spiderman is heading I am afraid the spiderman books
will be not worth reading, or, are they getting that
way now? Dont screw up something that is your bread
and butter I have always said. I guess Stan Lee has
enough butter for his bread to remain "dry" for a
while since I am very disappointed with Marvel right
now and think Joe Quesada needs to have his $&@!@%@@@ fired for
what has to be the WORST comic book F' d UP story line ever written since Howard the Duck!! God will this just be another
stupid dream or storyline and Peter wakes up from it
all. TELL me Joe, did Venom, carnage, the clone saga, Spiderman
"Other" story line ever happen and was this not worth talking about? Who the hell transfers a comic hero back 20 years and all this was for nothing? Wow, if anyone is happy with this
than you really dont like Spiderman or see how marvel
is just making there flag ship character worse than
lobo in DC right now.... All I have to say and yes,
Joe Quesada your an idiot for publishing these!! Please just go get a job at DC and stop screwing up the Marvel Univerise.... Who is with me Spiderman Fans!! We want this to be FIXED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE DEATH OF PETER PARKER
I think Spidey died when he made a deal with the devil in OMD. I did not read the BND and I never going to read Spidey again because marvel think we are fools. Joe Q sad if Peter was umarried more young people will like Spidey but my son and his friends just drop Spidey do you know why Joe, because they think one married Spidey is munch more interesting than a guy at his 30 living with his aunt and have to go to school to find girlfriend. Besides there is a hero who could make a deal with the demon to fix his life is no long a hero. So I just going to get more Batman and no more Spidey.

OMD part one was the only book that got my attention since it's been a LONG time coming that Spiderman kicked Iron-mans' butt. This is a fight for some reason Joe cannot write and show that Spiderman is no light weight.... The rest of OMD was just CRAP and poor writting and lack of knowledge of Spiderman comics and really disapointing to see how Marvel, or JOE, is really screwing up the history and legacy of Marvel! JOEY Q KILLED MY BOOK
So how much more of this crap do we have to take ... Marvel is telling me that all the money and memories that i have built with SPIDEY over the last few years was for nothing huh.. All because one person had a pboblem with a certain marraige of the number one character in the marvel universe.. Is that dude even married or is he one of those loner whoo can't get a wifey .. any way that was wrong but damn im upset ... So whats next you gonna bring gwen stacy back too.. Man how many ttimes has harry osborn been killed of ... Oh let me guess yall watched that stupid movie spidey 3 and was like hum lets bring that stupid kid goblin snow boarder to the comics ... so i guess we willbe seeing goblin vs goblin real soon huh maybe a big sstupid story arc that leads to a 2 page fight right then one looks like he dies and comes back a year later.. Speaking of come backs how long are they gonna make us wait before mj and peter get back together cause its to much history and what about the spider girl book ... and since im on this rant what the hell is going on with CAPITAN AMERICA coming back with a gun and sword are you serious ... MARVEL has just lost their damn minds.. So now im stuck do i stick with my guns and stop buying spidey or do i give it a try ... MARVEL has us by the balls cause i know im not alone when it comes to spidey mary jane was just as much of a backbone to spidey as aunt may and isnt she like 20o years old if you wanted to do something it was plenty ways to make this right... Oh before i forget at least they got rid of those stupid new powers like the stingers and brought back the web shooters .. it was too much going on at least they went back some what to the basics ... But in the long run its just stupid .. I agree with the blogger earlier MARVEL has just changed into DC with their reboots and all that madness .. At least the X men books have a good story line going unlike spidey .. This just sucks .. Man im gonna miss the old spidey .. oh and what was with that stupid spidey in black crap there was never any answer to that he just stop wearing the suit and went back to the red and blue suit ... come on man ,,,

Mary Jane Loves Spider-man
I haven't read one more day yet and won't be buying a brand new day until 2009 as I live in England, but I keep up with events and one of the reasons I like Spider-man, is his relationship with Mary jane and Aunt May, and it's a good thing that she didn't die, but spider-man and peter without Mary Jane!? (I know she is still in it but not the way she was before, I hope they get back together,) cause spidey without Mary Jane is like the X-men with out Prof X, Reed Richards without Sue!

One More Day ?
I was INSULTED by the story arc of the OMD and by Marvel trying to conviced me that the last 20+ years now are worthless, because everything was reset and un-done ???
NO THANK YOU !!!
The whole Spidey universe was altered and all the explanation I got was 2 page spread ????
No more SPIDERMAN for me, I'll come back when they un-do everything again WITHOUT MAGIC, of course !!!
if they ever do...

Brand New Day of Nonsense
Hello! I actually thought the story arc of One More Day was intriguing, thought provoking, and definitive. This would be the storyline hat would redefine Spidey for the new year. He would be a outlaw for real. How would he survive? What toll would it have on his marriage? Who would be his conscious with Aunt May gone because of his actions. Then they dismissed what I thought was quite adult and entertaining with a placating status quo that is geared towards brand new readers. Civil War exists as the new status quo. How does he walk around without consequence? How does he interact with The New Avengers? I don't care for Harry Osborne. Will his father now arrest his best friend due to the fact he is a wanted fugitive? This is so ridiculous from a writer (me) and as a fan. I can't give this a chance because I am Knee deep in Civil War and Secret Invasion. So he has been a skrull all this time. Stupid, Ridiculous. Insulting! Thanks for ruining what could have been a new age for Spidey. You've turned him back to the stone age.

Posted by warriorspirit97 on 2008-01-09 16:15:41
Thanks Joe
I have been a fan of Spidey's sense I was a kid and have collected his mag on and off for the better part of the past 25 yrs or so...I was looking at getting back into it when I started reading OMD then you killed it for me...Sorry guys, even after I got over the emotion of the whole thing and realized that there are all kinds of possibilities with this new and "rebooted" Spiderman. I still can't see it without MJ. Apparently you guys are the experts and all, but I just can't do it. I will always love Spidey but until you clean up this mess you guys made, you won't be getting my money, THANKS FOR RUINING A REALLY GREAT COMIC!!!!

A Chance to take a huge step forward....misse
OMD had the chance to take a huge step forward. It could have said from this point forward is Peter's future. He was established as the protect of New York, burning of Aunt May's house made him a member of the New Avengers, revealing himself showed the world the greatness of PETER PARKER, and the death of Aunt May could have ended his connections with the past. Marvel, PLEASE FIX THIS!!! Stop messing with Spidey and give him his wife & kid back.

Ohhh Joe...
Dear Mr Quesada,

This might sound a bit crazy, but you actually were one of my heros! I liked everything about your style, decisions, putting talent and creators first and so on.

I thought that you put Marvel back on its way in a MAJOR way, finally putting the dreaded 90's away for good. There seemed that you could do nothing wrong (in my book anyway).

And then the greatest comic trainwreck ever happened : OMD.

I seriously can't believe what you did. It is so wrong (except for the art) on every level :

_I think the worst is that you abused of your Power something I thought you never would. Editorial written stories where the writers voice gets lost is everything I thought you fought against.

_You turned Marvel into DC. And DC is so lost right now.

_You turned on all your principles.

I know you renewed your contract once with Marvel and second terms are always difficult.

I think it's time to pass the torch and quit before you defintely destroy your otherwise beautiful legacy.

Baxtos.

Joe, you must go! I think you just screwed up your BEST character and tell me, how much did you get paid for being a spy for DC, cause your sure writing like a total idiot..... Spiderman would NEVER agree to change his life with help from the devil. But, I know you would....

Joe must pass the torch..... OMD just sucked and BND is just GAY!
"lovth youthhh" as parker told aunt may, who the hell says that and Aunt May just needs to die off and after 25 years of reading, this just takes the cake and worst story EVER!

BND
Also, I picked up BND and peter could be more of a pussy! Joe, what are you doing, this is NOT the Spiderman I have come to enjoy to read. Please tell me this is just a stupid dream, skrull, or mephisto inside spiderman's head and let's get back on track where we left off on civil war. I thought the unmasking was cool, everyone was out for peter and he could have been a fugitive for everyone to be after... He could have kept his balck costume, what happened to that? And I would have enjoyed his new powers which spiderman being a class 10 along with spiderwoman on your marvel power grid is just a joke. He needs to be more like a 30-35... You just suck....lol

nuff said and I think I might start up my own comic book company, I can write a hell of a lot better and I am sure 50% of the readers could!

BND
Been reading and collecting ASM since I was 8, nearly 30 years ago. Always looked forward to each new issue...until now. Sad to say, but I guess it's time I moved on, as well. Thanks for that, Marvel (JQ).

Spider-Man--Corporate and Weak
I agree with warriorspirit97. By doing OMD and BND, you've rendered all the stuff that happened in Civil War completely irrelevant. What happened to the far reaching effects of Spidey revealing his identity. What happened is that the corporate fatcats came in said, "Joe Quesada, we gotta get Spider-Man back to basics so he'smore like the movie character!" and Quesada agreed and trashed his own contnuity without batting an eye. Also, I know JMS is some kind of genius but, the way he resets the clock is just plain lazy. So...So..weak.

Subscription Cancelled
Wow, I haven't even had the chance to read the fourth issue of OMD yet thanx to Marvel's "awful" mail-order subscription service - i'm still waiting for it to show up. Regardless I can tell you now, having the reults of Mephisto's deal spoiled for me by AOL, that my subscription is cancelled. This is just awful. I was praying that they'd finally off Aunt May and let Peter be his own man, but, alas, it wasn't to be. Most ASM comic readers are adults and Peter almost was too. In light of Civil War, everything that was good about it has been brought to a stand still. I keep waiting for things to get exiciting again. Is anybody really looking forward to Secret Invasion? Blechh.

One More Day...
Is why I am a DC Comics fan.

One More Day Makes One Less Reader
This is worse than the Clone Saga fiasco. This is the absolute worst thing Joe Q. and company have done to date. Civil War was cool. WWH rocked. Erasing Spidey's past, the biggest dungheap this side of Jurassic Park. They say they wanted to keep Spidey fresh for current readers instead they're shying them away, especially long time readers such as myself, 17 yrs. If they want to keep things fresh, kill Aunt May. She's the least freshest bag in the Marvel U. She has served her purpose more than enough, let her die. You want fresh, bring back Peter and MJ's baby that Norman Osborn had stolen from them at birth. That's right, remember the Spider-Baby, they were told it was still-born, but the nurse who delivered it was working for Osborn and switched the babies. Make Peter and MJ parents. As a new parent myself, I know for a fact that will keeps things new and fresh. This situation is B.S. and until it gets ret-conned or Mephisto turns out to be a Skrull and its just a big joke, I will read Spider-Man no more. No power over the fans, no responsibility to read the book.

Brand New Day Is Brand New Crap
Normally, I love everything about Marvel. This Spider-Man situation however is unacceptable. This isn't Spidey today, this is Spidey 1963. Fresh and new my a$$. See my previous blog for more detail, but for the first time in a long time, Marvel f-ed up big time.

i cannot believe that this happened! Web slingers? all of Michael J's recent work erased..no The Other..no king pin fight in prison!? Mary Jane a superhero? this is the weakest thing to happen to marvel ever! Great artwork isnt gonna save this title..Thanks but no thanks

CRAP!!
BND IS JUST CRAP! Look at that cover, is that HARRY as the Green Golblin, Oh I cant wait NOT to read that. Give me a break, hammer head and kingpin? Spiderman kicked kingpins but! Why is Spiderman always marked as being a whimp? He is class 15, well 10 now and even so, why is kingpin, who on MARVELS power rating websight is a class 800 pounds normal human kicking a class 10ton super hero's butt? MAKE SENSE! ?????????? LOL My GOD that was crappie writing then and looks like we are heading backward and to top that off we now have the famour WEB SHOOTERS JOY!! Now we all can expect to hear all the gay phrases from the 70's Ah yes, but the webshooters give us back those legendary crappy Lee
plots.
"Oh no, my webshooters are empty!"
"Better make sure to bring some extra web cartridges with me."
"I made a special web fluid for you, Paste Pot Pete!"

MAKE MIN NOT MARVEL PEOPLE COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

REASON-$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
Well, if so many people are complaining about One More Day, maybe there's a reason for it. Ever thought of that?

Posted by Deadpond on 2007

Ah Yes my fellow comic reader Deadpond, hey remind me not to go fish there! The reason is money and us stupid comic readers paying for it. The story plot really sucks and doesnt ever Spiderman Fan know how screwed up this character now is? I dont consider Spiderman fans a TRUE fan if they are willing to see this out! I have been reading spidey for like 25 years, have a room of collectibles and now, I just want to throw them all on ebay! I dont want to read a WIMP book and that is how they are going to make spiderman, a pup yes sir.....

Censorship...
...Runs high in this place. Posts are being deleted faster ans faster now.

Hmmmm...... If he was still alive, I wonder what the little guy with the shield and the little wings at the bottom of the page would say.

LISTEN TO THE FANS!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is just garbage!

We are leaving by the busload.

This is crap

NO ONE WANTED THIS. YOU PISSED OFF MOST OF YOUR READERS BY INSULTING US WITH THIS CRAP AND WE ARE LEAVING. I WILL NOT BUY ASM UNTIL THIS IS FIXED.

Joe Q needs to be fired... now.

Posted by HiddenVorlon on 2008-01-11 17:51:32
Why????
I never speak out when it comes to what Marvel decides to do with the ASM comic, but something has to give. I was cool with the civil war story, I was cool with killing Cap, I was cool with aunt May on her death bed and Spidey dones the black agein and kicks the King pins ass. What I am not cool with is how marvel just said "Hey Spidey fans, you like what you have read over the years well FORGET IT!!!!!!!!"
Why go through all the civil-war-unmasking- story if it dosen't even matter?
Now that Spidey and everything that we know about him is a clean slat, what is going to happen to all the other comics that he is in/is a guess star.
And one last pet-peev of mine is, at the end of OMD the devil said that they will never have the daughter, that they would have had in the future. Does that mean that the comics of The Amazing Spider Girl will not be on the shelves any more. And if it will still be then HOW DO YOU EXPLAIN THAT Marvel???

Posted by mystery? on 2008-01-11 23:42:08
Why couldn't it be something like this?
Have the entire OMD storyline as is...except at the end, MJ refuses. She tells Peter that she'll take the chance of him hating her if May dies, but she won't give him up for anything. Cut to the hospital and the monitor goes flatline. Mephisto tells Peter that May just died, Peter begs MJ to change her mind, still she says no. Peter leaves. Mephisto and MJ have one final word. MJ goes to the bathroom, opens the cabinet and takes out the home pregnancy test...which reads positive. END OF ONE MORE DAY.

BRAND NEW DAY breakdown: Peter is burying May. MJ is there, supporting her husband, but they haven't spoken in days. She still hasn't told him that she's pregnant. MJ decides to let Peter has his time to mourne, but resolves that she's going to tell him within the next few days.

Peter goes out on his normal patrol, snubbing MJ. Meanwhile, MJ gets a visit from Felica/Black Cat. She's come by to offer her sympathy. MJ and Felica exchange words. Felica starts telling MJ how she should be the one by Pete's side and how MJ could never compete with her. MJ goes to slap Felica and is slammed across the room.

BIG REVEAL IS THAT BLACK CAT IS A SKRULL AND THE CLOSING PANEL SHOWS HER SHAPE-SHIFTING INTO MARY JANE!

That's one way it could have gone and whether you like that idea or not...it's not a step backwards.
