Marvel is pleased to announce that the highly anticipated CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE CHOSEN #1 (of 6), from New York Times best-selling author and Rambo creator David Morrell, has sold out at Diamond (though copies may be available at the retail level). Featuring the powerful artwork of rising star Mitch Breitweiser, Captain America: The Chosen has earned positive reviews from both fans and critics, who've thrilled to this Marvel Knights series featuring Captain America quest for a new successor.
To satisfy the overwhelming demand for this issue, Marvel is going back to press with Captain America: The Chosen #1 Second Printing Variant, featuring the stunning interior art of Breitweiser on the cover.
"I'm extremely gratified that readers responded so positively," said Morrell when informed of the sell-out. "There are many surprises to come. I want to show Captain America as a person as much as a superhero. By the end of the series, readers will understand him in a totally new way."
BrokenFrontier.Com's Dave Baxter gushed, "I was very impressed by the quality of Captain America: The Chosen ; it showcases high production values, and obviously was crafted by talented individuals."
"It's an intriguing premise, and Morrell does a nice job with it," said Greg Burgas of ComicBookResources.Com.
Marvel urges to check their orders on future issues of Captain America: The Chosen, as the series continues the success of the rejuvenated Marvel Knights line, in the tradition of Spider-Man: Reign and Silver Surfer: Requiem. After the shocking final page of Captain America: The Chosen #1, things are about to take an even more unexpected turn as we learn the truth about Captain America's final days!
