What's an "Iron Man Month" without some of Shellhead's friends popping in for a visit? This week, Digital Comics Highlights looks at five great team-ups from the Armored Avenger's history, with appearances by the likes of Spider-Man, the Hulk and the Fantastic Four!
So plop down and get your Internet revved up for action and check out these great comics, all available now on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited! TALES OF SUSPENSE #64
Okay, so Iron Man might not technically team up with Hawkeye in this issue, considering everybody's favorite bow-slinger hadn't reformed and joined the Avengers yet...but hey, it's got Iron Man and Hawkeye in the same comic, and who doesn't love to see those two sharing some panel time? And when Hawkeye reunites with his lost love, the Black Widow, to kidnap Iron Man's closest confidantes, the Armored Avenger will have a harder time against his foe's bow and arrows than he expected! Thankfully, Clint Barton would soon realize the error of his ways and join the good fight, giving us many Iron Man/Hawkeye team-ups in the years to come!
BLACK PANTHER #41
With two Black Panthers running around, Tony Stark wants answers…and that can only mean one thing: BP can expect a visit from Iron Man. "Enemy of the State II" kicks off in high style this issue, also featuring a guest appearance from Marvel's favorite Canucklehead, Wolverine! Can the three of them stop the anachronistic Panther from ruining the Wakandan state? It's political intrigue and action-packed adventure in the true Marvel Manner, and you can also catch the rest of the five-part "Enemy of the State II" all available on Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited!
ULTIMATE MARVEL TEAM-UP #4
Ultimate Iron Man makes his first appearance in a team-up for the ages! When Peter Parker wins a trip to Stark Industries, he never expects to encounter Shellhead himself…but in true Parker luck fashion, wherever Pete goes, trouble seems to follow! The Mandroids choose Peter's visit as the perfect time to strike in all the glory of their original Marvel Universe armor...and when they prove too much for Stark to handle alone, Spidey suddenly finds himself out-manned, out-gunned and out-teched. Thankfully he's got Mike Allred on art to make sure he looks pretty!
FANTASTIC FOUR/IRON MAN: BIG IN JAPAN #1
Drawn by the late, great Seth Fisher and written by Spidey braintrust member Zeb Wells, this limited series featured one of the zaniest Iron Man team ups in Shellhead's storied history. With a giant monkey tearing his way through Tokyo, an enormous whale in the waters nearby, and enough imaginary creatures to populate the entire island nation of Japan springing to life, the Fantastic Four need a little help...and luckily for them, one Tony Stark happens to be in town on business!
MARVEL ADVENTURES IRON MAN SPECIAL EDITION #1
Iron Man, Spider-Man and Hulk all team up to fight the menace of...Gigantymo, the robot notorious for tearing apart the streets of Manhattan in "Iron Man's Adventure!" Where does he come from? How did this whole mess get started? This issue gives you all the answers you need, True Believer! And after you finish reading that, follow the story into "Iron Man's Adventure"!
