Askari is a retired super-hero, and a member of the "Mutantes Sans Frontiéres" mutants without Borders, a global mutant outreach organization established by Warren Worthington III (Angel of the X-Men). Askari is also the President of Zanzibar, which is located in the Unitied Republic of Tanzania, although it is considered an autonomous state. Askari battled Viper and the terrorist Weaponeers, who were order to destabilize Zanibar's economy by the Hellfire Club's White Queen (Courtney Ross). Askari Warren, and Husk fought valiantly, although the three of them where no real match for Viper and her crew. Luckily, they were rescued by Callisto, Shola, and Karima who were monitoring them from Genosha.
