Roscoe searched out Steve Rogers, whom he knew to be a good gymnast, in hopes to get some training. Roscoe met the Falcon instead of Rogers, who told him he was dreaming if he thought he could be the new Captain America. Refusing to give up, Roscoe donned a Captain America costume and called himself the new Captain America. He followed Falcon to prove to him that he could be the new Captain America, only to be scared off when Peggy Carter had mistaken him for the real Captain America.
In hope to persuade Roscoe that he wasn’t cut out to be Captain America, the Falcon took him out patrolling the city in hopes that he would learn that he didn’t have what it takes to be Captain America. The two happened across a group of three costumed men breaking into a nearby bank. The Falcon tried to convince Roscoe to take it slow, but Roscoe rushed into battle. Roscoe and the Falcon managed to defeat the three men and the Falcon began to believe that Roscoe could actually make it as a crime-fighter. However, moments later a hooded man entered the bank revealing himself to be the Red Skull. The Red Skull captured both Roscoe and the Falcon. Upon learning that Roscoe was not “his” Captain America, he became enraged and killed Roscoe. The Red Skull beat the Falcon severely and left the both of them on a rooftop as a warning for the real Captain America.Categories: People | Heroes | Deceased
