After his father gave him pictures of the Nazi World War II Super-Soldier Warrior Woman, Axl Nacht fell in love with her and underwent the procedure to become a Super-Soldier with the intention of freeing his love from the cryogenic suspension she was put into after the war. He became the new Master Man and freed Warrior Woman and Wilhelm Lohmer, the original Master Man, from their icy prisons. Fearing that competition for Warrior Woman's affection, Nacht betrayed Lohmer by reverting him back to his weak, original form. An angry Lohmer blew up the lab they were in with himself, Nacht and Warrior Woman in it.

Nacht survived and now calls himself Gotteskrieger, and has since been seen as a member of Axis Mundi with his love Warrior Woman.
