Also has the ability to realize mathematical concepts giving him power over the fundamental forces of the universe. He has used these for a variety of effects including increasing the gravity around a target, and manipulating time to age a target or slow down the movements of a target.

Mathemanic was a university student when he was used by Genetech for research in creating superhuman beings. Developing psionic abilities and taking on the codename of Mathemanic he became a member of Psionex. He has fought both against and alongside the New Warriors. He was also put in a coma during a battle against Terrax. When the Commission on Superhuman Activities persuaded the Thunderbolts to track down super-villains and recruit them to join the pro-registration side of the Superhuman Registration Act, Mathemanic decided to join the Thunderbolts.
