The brother of the X-Men's Colossus, Mikhail Rasputin is a former cosmonaut whose death was staged by the Russian government in order to keep his emerging mutation a secret. Upon his return to Earth, Rasputin became the leader and self-styled savior of a group of Morlocks who had survived the so-called Mutant Massacre. Rasputin claims to be responsible for hundreds of deaths throughout various dimensions. Multiple interdimensional travels initially appeared to have eroded Rasputin's sanity, but it now seems his mind was being manipulated by a symbiotic entity, from whose influence he has since been released. When he last encountered his brother, Rasputin seemed to have regained his sanity.
