Sabretooth is a mutant who possesses a Wolverinelike healing factor. It is not as advanced as Wolverine's, but it is quite effective. Sabretooth's senses of sight, smell, and taste are highly heightened which makes him an outstanding tracker. Sabretooth also has razorlike claws and fangs.

Little is known of Victor Creed's past prior to his involvement in the Mutant-Human War. Used primarily as an assassin and one of Magneto's most vicious agents, Sabretooth is unknown to the majority of humans and mutants. He was responsible for the murder of Robert Kelly, the United States Senator who was also the head of the Council on Mutant Affairs.

Following the end of the war, Sabretooth traveled to a small town in Alberta, Canada. While there, he lost all control and began slaughtering humans recklessly. Magneto, who was in the process of cementing his hold on the world, contacted S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Sebastian Shaw and asked them to deal with the situation. S.H.I.E.L.D. sent in the Red Army led by Wolverine and they took Sabretooth down.

After years in prison, Sabretooth was recently released into the custody of Magneto himself for reasons unknown.
