Christopher Cassera's father was set on fire by mobster Maxy Millions and left for dead, while he was out at the store. Upon his arrival he found the mercenary Deadpool (Wade Wilson), who had been hired to kill Maxy, although his arrival was a little too late to save John's life. Deadpool agreed to take in Christopher as requested by John during his final breath. Donning a spare costume and weaponry, Christopher became Kid Deadpool.
