Meet Mr. Knight

in Moon Knight (2014) #1

I’ve always liked Moon Knight’s design and I’d never change it, but I have to say Mr. Knight with the white suit is such a great idea. Also, this run looks like a perfect Moon Knight TV show; it’s violent, psychedelic and has awesome action scenes by Declan [Shalvey].

Ultimates: Super-Human by Mark Millar & Bryan Hitch

in Ultimates (2002) #1

A great deconstruction of characters, taking out all the magic, adding cynicism, and showing us how the traditional concept of super heroes would work in the real world (for good or for bad).

Black Widow by Nathan Edmondson & Phil Noto

in Black Widow (2014) #1

A spy thriller series with great artwork, very influential for me. Action-packed, with a little bit of retro goodness. So good.

Venom by Donny Cates & Ryan Stegman

in Venom (2018) #1

I’ve never cared much about the character, but Donny and Ryan are creating a huge and interesting mythology around Venom. I can’t wait for the next issue.

Daredevil: Born Again

in Daredevil (1964) #226

Read through #233! One of the most intense and emotional comic book arcs I’ve ever read. A perfect redemption story.

New Mutants by Chris Claremont & Bill Sienkiewicz

in New Mutants (1983) #18

Good writing, superb art! A perfect example of how good artwork can enhance the writing, the mood and the reading experience. Also, Sienkiewicz showed me that the mainstream industry has a place for more experimental art.
