On June 25, 1991, a booming era of comic book history reached one of its positively preeminent peaks with the release of X-FORCE #1.

Written by Fabian Nicieza and Rob Liefeld with art by Liefeld, the issue starred a brand-new Super Hero squad of mighty mutants, including Cable, Cannonball, Boom Boom, Warpath, Domino, Shatterstar, and Feral. The new #1 quickly became one of the most successful individual issues in Marvel history, ultimately selling over five million copies.
