Marvel and Riot Games Reveal Special Edition of 'League of Legends' Comic
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: ASHE: WARMOTHER SPECIAL EDITION #1 becomes available for digital pre-order on December 5th!
Marvel and Riot Games recently announced a new partnership to create comics and graphic novels based on the hit game "League of Legends" -- and a special edition of the first issue will soon be available for digital pre-order! Next Wednesday, December 5, fans will be able to pre-order their copy of LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: ASHE: WARMOTHER SPECIAL EDITION #1, which will go on sale Wednesday, December 19. The digital comic, written by Odin Austin Shafer with art by Nina Vakueva and lettering by Cardinal Rae, brings the world of Runeterra to comics, kicking off with LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: ASHE: WARMOTHER SPECIAL EDITION #1 and culminating in a graphic novel that will go on sale in May 2019. The special edition will be available on the Marvel Comics App and Digital Comics Shop, Comixology, and Kindle devices.

LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: ASHE: WARMOTHER SPECIAL EDITION #1 will feature over 20 pages of bonus content such as artist layouts, inks, colors, character concepts, and a glossary that provides more insight into the tribes of the Freljord: The Winter’s Claw, the Avarosan, and the Frostguard. It will also be localized in 20 languages for fans around the world.
This landmark collaboration between Marvel and Riot Games will be an origin story for Ashe, daughter of the Avarosan warmother, as she trains to become a leader of her people.
LEAGUE OF LEGENDS: ASHE: WARMOTHER SPECIAL EDITION #1, written by Odin Austin Shafer with art by Nina Vakueva and lettering by Cardinal Rae, will be available for digital pre-order on Wednesday, December 5. The issue goes on sale Wednesday, December 19.
