Marvel Announces 'FCBD Spider-Man/Venom #1' for Free Comic Book Day 2019

Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman, Tom Taylor, Saladin Ahmed, and Cory Smith will join forces for FCBD this year!

FCBD Spider-Man Venom

After last year's GEM Award-winning FCBD 2018 AVENGERS CAPTAIN AMERICA #1, Marvel has a monumental team-up planned for Free Comic Book Day 2019! Not one, but two Spideys will appear in FCBD SPIDER-MAN/VENOM #1, featuring work by Marvel heavy-hitters Donny Cates, Ryan Stegman, Tom Taylor, Saladin Ahmed, and Cory Smith.

Free Comic Book Day, which occurs on Saturday, May 4, provides both new and long-time comic readers with a chance to try out something new or read something featuring a beloved character. After the success of "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse" and in preparation for the upcoming "Spider-Man: Far From Home," it is definitely a big year for Spider-Man -- and whoever may be under the mask! In FCBD SPIDER-MAN/VENOM #1, the team of Cates, Stegman, Taylor, Ahmed, and Smith will take both Miles Morales and Peter Parker in a shocking new direction, with a story that will build to one of Marvel’s most fantastic and epic tales later this year!

And what about Venom? Nearly a year after the Red Goblin, the story continues in FCBD SPIDER-MAN/VENOM #1 with a new chapter that has been building up since classic Spider-Man tales like AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #252, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #90, and MARVEL TEAM-UP #141!

Stay tuned to Marvel.com for more details about Free Comic Book Day, coming May 4!
