New York State Senator Honors Marvel and Free Comic Book Day
New York State Senator Brad Hoylman issues official proclamation!
Marvel Comics and New York City are forever intertwined.
Marvel was founded in New York, and the Big Apple has inspired Marvel settings, stories, and characters for decades—from the Sanctum Sanctorum in the West Village, to the Baxter Building in Midtown, to Miles Morales’ home in Brooklyn.
Marvel is honored to announce that, this weekend, New York State Senator Brad Hoylman issued a proclamation to celebrate comic books, Marvel Comics, and the industry’s overall contributions to the arts and cultural communities of New York City! On Free Comic Book Day 2018, Senator Hoylman formally presented the proclamation at Midtown Comics, located in Times Square.
