Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Opening at EPCOT in 2022

The first "other world" pavilion is set to launch with the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Exciting news today coming out of Walt Disney World, as part of the 50th Anniversary celebration, Disney Parks Blog announced that the upcoming attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, will open in 2022!

The opening of the attraction marks the first "other-world" showcase pavilion in history at EPCOT and will invite fans and guests to embark on an intergalactic chase through space and time! Over at the Disney Parks Blog, we get a glimpse of the new pavilion currently under construction, which will dazzle fans with a planetarium-type presentation where the people of Xandar share their world and advanced technologies.

The new attraction is a brand new type of roller coaster that is a family-friendly adventure developed by Disney Imagineers just for this attraction. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is a storycoaster that will amaze guests as it rotates 360 degrees throughout the atraction so the focus is always on the action as guests help the Guardians save the galaxy...again.  This landmark attraction also is first in Disney history as it will feature a reverse launch on a coaster, never before seen in Disney Parks. It is also one of the longest enclosed coasters in the world. This attraction lives up to and matches the enormous scale of adventures of Guardians of the Galaxy films.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will open in 2022 at EPCOT and join in the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!
