In celebration of International Women's Day, Marvel Studios' Black Widow stars Scarlett Johansson and Florence Pugh highlight kickass women in the MCU as Pugh's Yelena Belova joins the list.

In the upcoming action-packed spy thriller, in theaters May 1, Johansson reprises her role as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow while Pugh makes her MCU debut as Yelena Belova. They are joined by David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov aka The Red Guardian and Rachel Weisz as Melina Vostokoff.

In Black Widow, Natasha Romanoff confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

Directed by Cate Shortland and produced by Kevin Feige, Black Widow—the first film in Phase Four of the Marvel Cinematic Universe—hits U.S. theaters on May 1.
