'MARVEL Cosmic Invasion' Enlists Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider to Fight Thanos in New Gameplay Trailer

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, the arcade-style tag-team brawler celebrating the golden eras of classic Marvel storytelling, gained two additional playable characters today: Black Panther and Cosmic Ghost Rider. Publisher Dotemu and Tribute Games revealed the duo in a hard-hitting trailer ahead of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’s release later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 & 5 and Xbox.

The uniquely powerful fighters made their debut in striking hand-drawn animation, embodying the classic comic book worlds MARVEL Cosmic Invasion pays homage to. Through all-new gameplay, players got a sneak peek into the devastating blows these heroes will deliver against their foes.

• Cosmic Ghost Rider, a deadly incarnation of the Punisher, transformed into the Spirit of Vengeance after signing a pact to avenge Earth’s destruction at the hands of Thanos. Wielding lethal chains, firearms, and his spectacular Hell cycle, Cosmic Ghost Rider pulls out every stop to decimate his enemies while roaring across spaceways. Celebrated voice actor Brian Bloom will bring the Rider to life with an out-of-this-world adaptation for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion.
• Black Panther, the stalwart leader of Wakanda, dashes into battle wearing King T’Challa’s vibranium-enhanced suit and sonic daggers. With peerless martial arts skills and strength, he’ll pounce on any threat or foe foolish enough to challenge him. James Mathis III will reprise his role as the voice of Black Panther following his work in Marvel Rivals and the Avengers Assemble animated series.

In MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, the immortal Super Villain Annihilus launched an unprecedented attack across the galaxy, threatening all life as we know it. Super Heroes, both Earth-born and cosmic, must now join forces in a star-spanning adventure against the deadly Annihilation Wave. Brawl through the streets of New York City all the way to the depths of the Negative Zone to foil Annihilus’ vow to spread death across the cosmos in classically inspired side-scrolling combat.

Cosmic Ghost Rider and Black Panther join the previously revealed playable characters Captain America, Wolverine, Spider-Man, Storm, Phyla-Vell, Venom, Nova, She-Hulk, Rocket Raccoon, Beta Ray Bill and Silver Surfer. MARVEL Cosmic Invasion’s incredible lineup is brought to life through full voice acting and will feature 15 playable fighters; which characters will be revealed as the roster’s final two members?
