Marvel is taking over San Diego Comic-Con 2025!
This year’s convention brought an all-star lineup to San Diego, celebrating the best in movies, comics, games and more. Right from the start, Marvel brought the adrenaline with fan-favorite panels, programming, and news, as attendees gathered to show off their best cosplays.
Here, we break down the biggest highlights of the weekend, so you can stay up-to-date on all the news coming out of the Marvel Universe.
Marvel Studios
The Fantastic Four: First Steps hit theaters worldwide this weekend, but one of the biggest celebrations was on the ground in San Diego. Marvel’s immersive booths (#2329 and #2159) brought some of the film’s most iconic sets to life, recreating retro-futuristic locations like Times Square and Yancy Street. Fans could also get an up-close look at the film’s gorgeous costumes and props.
Marvel Comics
On Thursday, Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, Conductor of X Tom Brevoort, creator David Marquez and more took to the stage to usher in the AGE OF REVELATION at the Marvel Comics: X-Men Panel. Together, they gave fans a glimpse 10 years into the future of the Marvel Universe, unveiling the covers for every second issue of the upcoming X-Men saga.

At the Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing Panel, the future of the 616 was teased by Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, VP & Executive Editor Tom Brevoort, ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM writer Ryan North, and PHOENIX scribe Stephanie Phillips. The end of Doom’s reign as the Marvel Universe’s Sorcerer Supreme is nigh, raising the question on everybody’s lips: who will succeed him? The Sorcerer Supreme has fallen; long live the Sorcerer Supreme!

The panel next turned its gaze to the stars, where visionary writer Jonathan Hickman and artists Iban Coello and Federico Vicentini are redrawing the map of the cosmos in IMPERIAL. The new cosmic order was unveiled with five upcoming ongoing series, starting with PLANET SHE-HULK and NOVA: CENTURION.

At the Retailer Panel, the next crossover between the Alien franchise and the Marvel Universe was revealed: ALIEN VS. CAPTAIN AMERICA. New story details for the upcoming MARVEL/DC: DEADPOOL/BATMAN #1 crossover were also unveiled, alongside previously unseen variant covers by Russell Dauterman, Daniel Warren Johnson, and Frank Miller.
Since its creation in 2023, Marvel's new Ultimate Universe has taken the industry by storm. Now, at the highly anticipated Marvel Comics: Ultimate Universe Panel, ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN writer and the visionary mind behind the Ultimate Universe Jonathan Hickman, Marvel Comics Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski, Ultimate Editor Wil Moss, ULTIMATES writer Deniz Camp and ULTIMATE WOLVERINE writer Chris Condon shed light on the future of this exciting line of comic books. They revealed the final issue of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN and officially announced ULTIMATE ENDGAME, a five-part event series marking the return of the Maker!

Marvel Games
Marvel Rivals kicked off its Summer Special Event at the Marvel Rivals: Hero Creation from Concept to Showcase Panel, unveiling an assortment of summer fun ranging from a Luna Snow music video to Swimsuit Variant Comic Covers. The all-new Infinity Comic, MARVEL RIVALS: KING IN BLACK, was also announced at the panel and will tie into the games’ upcoming season.
Fan-favorite characters made an appearance at the panel for MARVEL Cosmic Invasion Deep Dive – A Nostalgia Driven Approach to your Favorite Characters. Catch Beta Ray Bill and the Silver Surfer as they join the fight against the immortal Super Villain Annihilus!
MARVEL Cosmic Invasion crashes onto store shelves this holiday season 2025 — a galaxy-shattering, retro-inspired beat 'em up that channels the spirit of your favorite '90s arcade classics.
