Get a recap of the previous episodes before diving into the latest chapter today!

Every Wednesday, new episodes of Marvel's first scripted podcast, "Wolverine: The Long Night", are released for free! To mark each new episode, we're doing recaps and updating suspect lists from last week's chapter.

But first, listen to the latest episode of "Wolverine: The Long Night" right now! Get lost in chapter 6, "Archaeology of the Night", below, then keep reading for more insights on previous episodes.

For a look at where we were before episode 6, we deputized Marvel.com writer (and first-time listener) Amanda Ames to keep up with the action as it's released. So here's a look at what went down in chapter 5...

It’s open season in Burns and evidence continues to pile up alongside the bodies, but remember: theories must fit the facts, not the other way around.

Amidst the frenzy of a town-wide bear hunt organized by Sheriff Ridge, Agents Marshall and Pierce continue to come across new information surrounding Logan, the Langrocks, and Mallory, who may quickly find herself at the center of their investigation. For a town that prides itself on staying silent, it sure does say a lot. It’s time to sort out the crucial information from the incidental and figure out how this tangled mess connects...

  • We can solidly conclude that our noble Sheriff Ridge is in deep with the Langrocks after tapes surface from the night of Logan’s arrest. No paperwork was filed because Logan found himself released by Ridge straight into the arms of Brent Langrock, who was looking for some muscle to employ as an enforcer. A few thinly veiled threats later, Logan sent him packing and made a few calls, one of which puts Mallory in the hot seat once more.
  • Looks like the Langrocks are expanding their business and trying to keep it under wraps. Good thing we know the small things usually end up being the most important. Though I’m not sure we can call a 10,000 acre land auction a small thing. And it looks like others agree–the Strawberry kids are crippling lumber rigs, the town’s tribesmen are protesting and, lo and behold, Mallory once again finds herself at the center of things when a truck she was loading causes a violent explosion at the mill.
  • Once more the Sheriff and the Langrocks have teamed up, and this time it appears they’re trying to distract the whole town. No better way to do this then offer a $10,000 reward for the body of our alleged killer bear. However, their scheme may just have backfired, because after watching Brent’s calculating and sadistic murder of an impossibly huge bear, the people of Burns’ concerns have now landed on a newly discovered large and brutal animal.

Alliances form, lines are crossed, and the mystical begins clawing at reality while the truth lies buried away with a monster in the closet.
