Turning a Love for Comics into a Career in Comics

Watch the Women of Marvel give their take in a special clip from NYCC 2018!

Live from New York Comic Con 2018, Women of Marvel hosts Sana Amanat and Judy Stephens convened a panel of mighty Marvel creators to talk about mentorship, their pathways to comics, and the future of Marvel!

Watch the clip above as Leah Williams and Margaret Stohl break down turning their love for comic books into professional careers and give some insight on how you can too. "If there are creators out there, and I know there are, whether or not you'll even admit it—you have to be the first person to take yourself seriously," explains Stohl. "You just start doing the thing you love and the rest does follow. So you've got to believe in yourself first, and then we will all believe in you."

Listen to the full panel on the latest episode of the Women of Marvel podcast below, as Leah, Margaret, Kathleen Wisneski, Rachelle Rosenberg, and Jen Bartel share their stories and love for comics!
