Riri Williams Takes Flight in New ‘Ironheart’ Trailer
The upcoming Marvel Television series launches June 24, only on Disney+.
Riri Williams is ready to build something iconic.
Marvel Television has unveiled the new trailer for Ironheart, following the young, brilliant inventor as sets out on a new adventure. Dominique Thorne first brought the character to the screen in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and now, she’s stepping into the spotlight with her own series, premiering June 24 on Disney+.
“What was interesting for me was how different Riri’s story and entrance into the MCU was in comparison to other characters,” Thorne said. “After bringing Riri to life in the world of Wakanda, we had an amazing opportunity to follow that up with a deep dive into the character that allows for the exploration of her origin story. We’re not necessarily going back in time; it’s more of catching up and seeing the effects of how those first pivotal moments of her life have shaped her, and seeing the person that she’s trying to become.”

Ironheart picks up after the events of Wakanda Forever, following Riri as she returns to her hometown of Chicago. Eager to make a name for herself, Riri uses her intellect to craft state-of-the-art iron suits, but her ambitions put her on a collision course with the charming Parker Robbins, aka the Hood (Anthony Ramos).
Black Panther and Wakanda Forever director Ryan Coogler also serves as an executive producer on Ironheart, and he previously opened up to Marvel.com about how the series mixes science and magic.
“Riri is definitely in conversation with a street-level show like Daredevil,” Coogler teased. “You’ve got characters trying — both heroes and villains — to make do with what they have. Then you combine that with cosmic Marvel, characters who would be at home in Doctor Strange or WandaVision. That [mix] of street-level Marvel and magical Marvel is a pretty crazy combination.”
Ironheart also stars Lyric Ross, Alden Ehrenreich, Regan Aliyah, Manny Montana, Matthew Elam, and Anji White. Chinaka Hodge serves as head writer, with episodes directed by Sam Bailey and Angela Barnes. Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Zoie Nagelhout, Chinaka Hodge, Ryan Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler, and the series is produced in association with Proximity Media.
Marvel Television’s Ironheart launches with a 3-episode premiere June 24 at 6 p.m. PT/ 9 p.m. ET, only on Disney+.
