Biography

Biography

In alternate universe, Earth-6160, the Black Panther and King of Wakanda in Africa grapples with his kingdom under siege from those who seek to expand their control of the continent and claim his kingdom. He endeavors to protect not just his people, but also those beyond his walled borders as well.

Heavy That Wears the Crown and Cowl

When Reed Richards, AKA The Maker, survives the death of his universe, he travels back in time to a parallel Earth, Earth-6160, where he creates a world without heroes and rules this world in secret through various global factions, each run by a member of The Maker’s Council. Council members Khonshu and Ra, together as Moon Knight, rule Africa, save the isolated nation of Wakanda, a kingdom built with the rare element Vibranium and ruled by King T’Chaka, AKA the Black Panther. T’Chaka, his son T’Challa, and his daughter Shuri as well as the people of Wakanda worship the goddess Mother Bast. But when the god-like Khonshu and Ra, together known as Moon Knight, kill the king to take over his kingdom, T’Challa takes up the mantle of both the Black Panther and monarch, and must bring his people out of the shadows.

Genius Intellect

T’Challa is a genius, maybe more so, and often relies on reason and causation. He wears a Black Panther suit imbued with Vibranium that stores kinetic energy and then releases it in a wave of power to use against his enemies.

Assassins and Enemies Abound

Among the Maker’s Council of Super Villains who quietly orchestrated the history of the world, are Ra and Khonshu, collectively known as Moon Knight. This duo oversees Africa, except the isolated kingdom of Wakanda until they start a campaign of violence across the continent, stirring dissent in Wakanda. Khonshu builds an army that worships him as a god and he empowers them with a newfound element, a green ore, that counters Wakanda’s Vibranium.

Trusted Inner Circle

T’Challa’s family includes his father, T’Chaka, who gives him counsel, his genius sister Shuri, a woman-at-arms, and his wife Okoye. Okoye is the Queen to T’Challa, the former General of the Dora Milaje, now its High Mentor. Per tradition, She addresses him as “High King” though he dispenses such pleasantries in the bedroom as he sees them as equals and believes traditions must change.

Abeni is the Captain of arms of the Dora Milaje, a group of Wakandan warrior women, while Faxul and Anon are his most trusted spies.

Matron Imala, the Sacred Mother of the Vodu-Khan–a superstitious group that serves the kingdom and all its kings–offers counsel to King T’Challa though he does not trust them and does not believe in their power.

Erik Killmonger, AKA Killmonger, and the woman who can control the weather, Ororo, AKA Storm, are two freedom fighters who protect T’Challa and lead him to a mysterious green ore that their enemies seek. T’Challa grows to trust them both, even making Killmonger a general, and teaming up with Storm on missions to defeat their shared enemies.

A Panther’s Tale

After Khonshu and Ra attacked a village in West Africa, the King’s spies reported to T’Challa and offered strategy, which T’Challa was not keen to hear. His sister Shuri believed they had a responsibility to defend the innocent, but T’Challa was more methodical in his response and wanted more information first. Meanwhile, Killmonger and the Wind Rider protected other villagers in West Africa from Moon Knight’s militarized force.

When T’Challa’s father was publicly assassinated in the name of Moon Knight, T’Challa declared that Wakanda was at war. In pursuit of Moon Knight, T’Challa as Black Panther was ambushed and rescued by a pair of freedom fighters, one named Erik Killmonger, AKA Killmonger, and the woman of storms Ororo, AKA Storm. They brought him to a hidden, mysterious green ore and revealed that Ra and Khonshu were after it and it must be protected. T’Challa stayed with the pair for months, leading the kingdom to think he was dead. Shuri took the throne in his absence, but when an assassin made an attempt on Okoye’s life, T’Challa returned with Killmonger and Storm. T’Challa and Shuri tested the green ore and found that when combined with a Vibranium rod and kinetic energy, it created life, as if a terraforming element that can accelerate the growth of life uncontrollably. T’Challa consulted the Vodu-Khan to see what they knew about the ore and they believed it was the opposite of Vibranium and had the power to create whole kingdoms. The Sacred Mother of the Vodu-Khan warned him of a coming war unlike any other. But Ra and Khonshu then stole some of this ore to empower their own kingdom against Wakanda, making people believe they were gods.

After months of war against the West African people he was meant to protect, T’Challa grew tired of it and desired an end. He wanted to find the heart of Ra and Khonshu’s power and their weakness, and constantly reminded Killmonger and Storm to stun their enemies rather than kill them. He sent Killmonger and Storm to find aid in the outside world, someone who knew science and mystics.

In a battle against Ra and Khonshu’s army of zealots, Black Panther was stabbed by a dagger imbued with the green ore and it brutally wounded him, leaving him with strange dreams. Upon waking, Okoye informed him that Shuri was marshalling Wakanda’s forces, wanting to attack Moon Knight in T’Challa’s name. Upon waking, T’challa could hear the Vibranium singing to him and summoned the blade that stabbed him as if a kind of telekinesis. Meanwhile, Killmonger and Storm had found and freed a dark “Sorcerer Supreme” from her prison called Inan.

King T’Challa soon faced Moon Knight in a duel and striking him, the perceived deity shed blood. and as a phantom figure appeared and urged T’challa to kill his enemy, Inan intervened and stopped the fight. Afterward, T’Challa’s people claimed Moon Knight’s fortress and found no answers. Ra and Khonshu were placed in a Wakandan prison. Inan helped T’Challa understand what was happening to him but demands transparency, so T’Challa revealed his theory that Vibranium is alive and has a consciousness, a will, and he’s afraid he’s losing his mind to it. In trying to understand Vibranium, Inan accidentally released the Progenitor, an angry spirit within Vibranium, that attacked Wakanda. Inan sent it into deep space to get rid of it.

T’Challa made Killmonger a general until there was a solution to their dark vibranium problem. Killmonger agreed and suggested that T’Challa take Ororo with him on his mission to Nigeria to retrieve a relic of Dark Vibranium from Nigerian authorities who discovered one. Before he left, T’Challa felt distrustful of his Vibranium suit, so the Vodu-Khan gave him a legacy suit without the element. T’Challa believed the Vodu-Khan knew more than they let on, but the Sacred Mother reminded T’Challa that the Vodu-Khan, while they have fealty to destiny, are loyal to Wakanda and its king. Meanwhile, the Progenitor had escaped to Nigeria where it possessed a Nigerian special-ops agent named Adi and an American C.I.A. agent from the North American Union named Helen Forton. Black Panther and Storm investigated the missing pair, who they found killed a scientist under Nigeria’s leader Mr. Ola, who was then assassinated in front of them by Adi’s brother. Black Panther and Storm fought him and gained the upper hand, the pair tied him up for questioning. But the man saw them as allies and revealed that what they sought was no relic but a gateway.
