Roger Brokeridge's fame-seeking brother Paul underwent strength-augmenting treatments from the new Power Broker so he could compete in the Unlimited Class Wrestling Federation; however, Paul was paralyzed in a UCWF match and doctors could not treat his injuries. With his family crippled by medical bills, Rogers sought revenge on the Broker, who instead talked Roger into acquiring superhuman powers of his own and committing crimes to pay Paul's bills while giving the Broker a percentage.
