Biography

Lucky the Pizza Dog is a big fan of pizza and the best pet a Super Hero could have. Lucky defends Avenger Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye, in a key moment, saving his life. In nearly dying for the hero, he in turn saves Lucky’s life. Lucky becomes the Avenger’s companion and bonds with his protégé Kate Bishop while keeping the peace on the streets of his home in New York City.

One Lucky Dog

Belonging to Ivan Banionis and the Tracksuit Mafia, the dog named Arrow is known to like pizza. After Clint Barton shows him kindness, Arrow comes to his aide against his owners who take a shot at the Avenger. Though this good Samaritan act gets him kicked into traffic and hit by a car. Suffering mortal wounds, Clint rushes the pooch to an emergency pet clinic and pays a pretty penny to save the dog’s life. Arrow survives the surgeries with a broken pelvis, broken leg, two broken ribs but loses his left eye. Clint adopts the wounded pup and renames him Lucky .

Work Like a Dog

Lucky has the typical physique and strength of a dog his age who gets regular exercise. He is protective of those he cares about and will use his teeth and claws to attack and protect them. Lucky often survives getting nearly killed multiple times attesting to his strength, and the care of his companions.

Crooked as a Dog’s Hind Leg

Lucky comes up against the Tracksuit Mafia on a few occasions and always ends up fairly banged up by the encounters. Luckily, this dog’s got a few Super Heroes on his side to help him out and take him to the vet when he needs it most.

Taskmaster, the weapons expert with photographic reflexes, comes up against Lucky as he is battling Super Heroes: Doreen Green, AKA Squirrel Girl, Amadeus Cho, AKA Brawn (formerly Hulk), Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, Kamala Khan, AKA Ms. Marvel, America Chavez, and Pasty Walker, AKA Hellcat. Lucky meets Mew, the pet cat to Squirrel Girl’s roommate, and they are key to taking Taskmaster down for the count.

A Dog’s Best Friends

Clint Barton, AKA Hawkeye, takes a keen liking to Lucky, giving him his name and saving him after Lucky saved him from the Tracksuit Mafia. Lucky bonds with Clint’s protégé Kate Bishop and moves across the country with her on more than one occasion.

Lucky meets Mewnir, AKA Mew, as they both happen upon some pizza. After some initial tension, they share the triangle-shaped food topped with anchovies, and then a battle of epic proportions plays out in front of them between Super Heroes and the Super Villain Taskmaster. They work together and are instrumental in defeating the miscreant.

A Dog Day Out

Lucky became Clint’s companion, living with him and Kate Bishop, the new Hawkeye. Meanwhile Lucky gets hired by a neighboring puppy dog to solve a grisly murder and eats pizza afterward. He then has an unfortunate encounter with the Tracksuits that nearly gets him killed again. He escaped their clutches only to be moved to Los Angeles, California by Kate who grew tired of Clint’s self-criticism. Though they moved back to New York when the Tracksuits were out to kill Barton. Lucky and Kate returned as the gang was attacking and while Clint and Kate faced Ivan and the Clown, Lucky attacked as well but was shot.

Once while perusing Washington Square Park, Lucky came upon some pizza and Mewnir, AKA Mew, a cat of the short-haired persuasion and pet to Squirrel’s Girl’s roommate Nancy Whitehead. They shared the pizza and Lucky licked Mew before a bunch of New York’s heroes fought Taskmaster. In the battle’s destruction, Lucky found Mew in some rubble and they playfully fought. The inevitable dog-cat chase that resulted led to disrupting some stone which fell on Taskmaster. Taskmaster recovered and in holding Lucky by the nape, Squirrel Girl fought him off and Lucky recovered quickly. Lucky and Mew happily reunited .

Lucky moved again with Kate to Los Angeles.
