The Kree control one of the oldest and most expansive empires in the entire universe. Obsessed with genetic perfection, they have long conducted experiments on species from across the cosmos, and have intentionally thrown their own empire into chaos in an effort to become the ultimate race. They are ruled by the Supreme Intelligence, a hive-mind that places rationale above all else.
In the first appearance of the Kree, the Supreme Intelligence sends his agent Ronan the Accuser to Earth in order to judge the Fantastic Four for the crime of destroying a Kree Sentry. Ronan easily fends off the FF’s initial attacks, but when the Thing gains the upper hand, he inadvertently causes Ronan’s Universal Weapon to backfire!
The Kree hero Captain Marvel takes center stage, as he executes a plan to free himself and Rick Jones from their bizarre shared existence. While he was able to free Rick from the Negative Zone, Mar-Vell also allowed Annihilus to escape!
