Marvel Comics Pays Homage to the Mighty Marvel Bicentennial Calendar with New Variant Covers

Starting this July and continuing through July 2026, Marvel Comics kicks off the lead up to America's 250th Birthday celebration with a monthly variant program that pays homage to the iconic Mighty Marvel Bicentennial Calendar.

Next year is the United States of America’s 250th anniversary, and Marvel Comics will commemorate the milestone with new 250TH HOMAGE VARIANT COVERS. Launching in July, the new covers will be featured monthly on a select issue all the way up to the historic celebration in July 2026.

The covers pay homage to the iconic 1976 Mighty Marvel Bicentennial Calendar where industry legends like John Romita Sr., Herb Trimpe, Gil Kane, and more took fans on an exciting journey through America's history with artwork that featured Marvel super heroes taking part in the country's proudest moments. Now, see these patriotic pieces reimagined by today's leading artists all year long!
