'Ms. Marvel Vol. 9: Teenage Wasteland' Is a Winner of the 2019 American Book Award

Congratulations are in order for a mighty Marvel creative team! The Before Columbus Foundation, which recognizes literary achievements from "the entire spectrum of America’s diverse literary community," announced its winners of the 2019 American Book Awards -- and among them were writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Nico Leon for their work on MS. MARVEL VOL. 9: TEENAGE WASTELAND! The collection is part of an illustrious lineup of books that spans genres by creators across several cultural backgrounds. The winners are chosen by fellow writers.

Ms. Marvel Vol. 9: Teenage Wasteland

Wilson and Leon, along with the other winners, will be formally recognized at a ceremony on November 1 at the Koret Auditorium in the San Francisco Public Library.
