D23 Expo 2019: Disney Parks Reveals Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Epcot

On the final day of the D23 Expo, Disney and Marvel fans filled Hall D23 as Disney Parks, Experiences and Products Chairman Bob Chapek unveils even more details from Disney Park's unprecedented plans for the largest expansion in Disney history and how it can even further spark the imagination and experiences of Super Hero fans around the world. During the presentation, the re-imagining of Epcot was revealed and some very exciting details about our favorite group of space adventures was shared.

In the newly named section of Epcot, World Discover, stories about science, technology and intergalactice adventures come to life. For the first time ever, World Discover will host an "other-world" showcase pavilion at Epcot with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

The adventure begins in the "Galaxarium," a planetarium-like exhibition that explores the similarities and mysteries of the formation of Earth’s galaxy and  Xandar, which should be a familiar destination for fans of Guardians of the Galaxy. Guests will be invited to learn more about the treasures Xandar has to share, that is until the Guardians of the Galaxy arrive on the scene. Once that happens, then your adventure across the cosmos begins!

The brand new attraction will feature the latest innovation from Walt Disney Imagineering -– a storytelling coaster that rotates 360 degrees to focus your attention on the action, including the first reverse launch on a Disney coaster.
