Spider-Man Swings into ‘Magic: The Gathering’

Your friendly neighborhood Spider-Heroes are swinging into the world of Magic: The Gathering.

Marvel and Magic are teaming up for an exclusive new crossover set, inviting players to power up their decks with all their favorite Spider-Verse heroes (and villains). Magic: The Gathering | Marvel's Spider-Man will be available worldwide on Sept. 26, as players can bring home webslingers like Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Gwen Stacy, and more.

Packed with gorgeous art and fan-favorite heroes, the new Spidey set was a labor of love for Marvel and the Magic team.

"I've been a fan of comic books ever since I was a young boy, and the chance to combine my love of Marvel with my love of Magic: The Gathering has been a dream come true,” said Magic: The Gathering head designer Mark Rosewater. “The core of my job as Magic's head designer is to find new opportunities to design amazing Magic cards, and there's no better source material for this than Marvel. Its characters are larger than life, have amazing powers that translate perfectly to the game, and were literally designed to look extremely cool, so they make the cards visually pop.”

The new cards are also stuffed with Easter eggs and nods to iconic moments from the comics, stretching across more than 60 years of Spidey history.

“Behind the scenes, there was so much love, attention to detail, and dedication from all parties to make this new Spider-Man set truly unique,” said Disney Consumer Product senior product designer Amanda Barker. “I hope that every Marvel and Spider-Man fan gets a chance to explore, collect, and play with this one-of-a-kind set of Magic cards!"

Spider-Man fans can also pick up exclusive Magic accessories from Gamegenic—including art sleeves, card albums, playmats, and more, each designed with stunning art.
