Piecing Together MARVEL Puzzle Quest: Human Torch (Annihilus)

Human Torch (Annihilus) brings the power of the Annihilation Wave to MARVEL Puzzle Quest!

Johnny Storm, AKA the Human Torch, knows a thing or two about the Negative Zone. After all, he ended up stranded there when he sacrificed himself to buy the children of the Future Foundation enough time to escape. In fact, he was trapped in the Negative Zone for so long that the rest of the Fantastic Four thought him dead—but not so! While his family mourned, he escaped Annihilus' capture, teamed up with the Light Brigade, and even took control of the Cosmic Control Rod, which gave him power like none other he'd wielded before. Fortunately, he made it back to Earth just in time to reunite with his beloved team and fend off a Kree attack.

Human Torch (Annihilus) is the latest to join the ranks of MARVEL Puzzle Quest!

Human Torch (Annihilus) joins MARVEL Puzzle Quest

A 4-Star Rarity character with Affiliations Heroes, Fantastic Four, Cosmic, and Enhanced, Human Torch (Annihilus) has a toolkit that includes Fireball Special, Annihilation Wave, and Cosmic Control Rod.

"Hey, at least I'm not on fire... not yet, anyway." Using Fireball Special, Johnny flings a Control Rod-boosted fireball at his opponent. Select a tile color. Deals 2052 and destroys 5 random enemy special or basic tiles of the chosen color, prioritizing enemy special tiles. Destroyed tiles deal damage and grant AP. If a Cosmic Control Rod Repeater exists on the board, Fireball Special deals 90% increased damage.

"Whoever holds the Cosmic Control Rod rules the Negative Zone. As such, the wave is mine... I plan on putting it to good use." The Annihilation Wave converts up to 6 enemy special or basic tiles into 389-strength Attack tiles, prioritizing special tiles.

(PASSIVE) At the start of your team's turn, if a Cosmic Control Rod Repeater exists on the board, improve Johnny's Attack tiles by 33%.

"Burn like the sun and even hotter with the Control Rod? You bet!" If one doesn't exist, Cosmic Control Rod creates a 2-turn Black Cosmic Control Rod Repeater tile that deals 3348 damage, lowers the cost of his abilities by 1 AP (minimum 3 AP), and increases his maximum health by 6% per repeat. If one already exists, fortify it instead.
