SDCC 2019: New Details Emerge About 'MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order' on Eve of Game Release in Hall H Panel

Assemble your ultimate Marvel team on July 19!

Ten years since the MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE series debuted, the franchise returns with the next chapter on July 19, with the release of MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order, exclusively available on the Nintendo Switch system.

During the SDCC 2019 Marvel Games panel, on the eve of the launch, Nintendo revealed for the first time in the series, Loki will join the alliance as a playable character! In addition to that, MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order will be getting free updates, as well as a series of paid DLC packs.

New playable characters Cyclops and Colossus will arrive as part of the free update to the game on August 30, with alternate outfits for all playable characters in the game after launch through early 2020.

With the paid Expansion Pass for $19.99, players get access to three exclusive DLC packs as they release. These packs, which won’t be available for individual purchase, will include story content and playable characters from popular franchises like the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Marvel Knights.

The first paid DLC pack is due to arrive this fall where we'll see the addition of Moon Knight, Blade, Punisher, and Morbius as playable characters. Details on the two additional DLC packs will be announced at a later date.

MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE 3: The Black Order will hit stores and Nintendo eShop on Nintendo Switch on July 19 at a suggested retail price of $59.99. For more information about the game, visit https://marvelultimatealliance3.nintendo.com
