MARVEL TELEVISION AND ANIMATION
One of the biggest panels of the weekend took over the Empire Stage on Saturday, as Head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation Brad Winderbaum showcased some of Marvel's new and returning TV shows.
Marvel Animation kicked things off, showcasing the first footage of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man season 2, which will find Peter Parker facing off against a familiar gooey black symbiote. Then, Winderbaum welcomed X-Men: The Animated Series creators Eric and Julia Lewald, who confirmed that they'll be returning as executive producers for X-Men '97 season 2.
Later, during the Marvel: Comics to Screen Panel, Winderbaum and Marvel Comics Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski put both mediums in conversation with one another. The pair was joined by Zeb Wells, who has written for Marvel Comics, Television, and Studios, for a discussion about the comic parallels and inspirations for Marvel Animation’s X-Men ‘97 and Marvel Zombies.

Two of Marvel's most iconic New York heroes also stopped by, with Charlie Cox and Krysten Ritter teasing season 2 of Daredevil: Born Again. Cox opened up about how Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk's rivalry will continue in season 2, while Ritter said she was thrilled to step back into Jessica Jones' shoes.
"Jessica is back, and it's exciting to be in the action," she told the crowd. "And she looks cooler than ever.” (Read more about Daredevil: Born Again season 2 here.)
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Sir Ben Kingsley later took the stage to unveil the official first look at Wonder Man, debuting January 27, 2026, on Disney+. In addition to sharing the first teaser trailer and poster, the pair opened up about bringing Hollywood into the world of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with Abdul-Mateen II starring as actor Simon Williams and Kingsley reprising his role as Trevor Slattery.
"As an actor, there's so much that goes into it," Abdul-Mateen told the crowd. "There's vulnerability, there's ego, there's hopes and dreams, there's ambition, there's the lonely road. As Simon, I get to walk that fine line and experience all of that. I'm really excited to share Simon's journey towards achieving his dream." (Read more details about Wonder Man and see the poster here.)

Winderbaum closed out the panel with one final surprise, bringing MCU veteran Paul Bettany to the stage. Bettany officially revealed that he will star in the upcoming VisionQuest series, created by Terry Matalas and coming to Disney+ in 2026. The show will continue the story that started with WandaVision and Agatha All Along, and it will also see the return of James Spader as Ultron.
“What’s different about Vision right now is that Red Vision gave Vision all of his memories, including the memories from within the Hex. But White Vision is having real difficulty connecting to them,” Bettany told the crowd. “So he has the memories, but he doesn’t have the emotions and the feelings, and I think that’s what the journey is. White Vision’s journey during the show is about his attempt to connect to those memories and who he was… but with lasers!”
MARVEL COMICS
At the Spider-Man and his Venomous Friends Panel, Marvel Comics teased the QUEEN IN BLACK event launching next summer. The crossover spins out of recent developments in Al Ewing and Carlos Gómez’s VENOM (2025) run, as well as the upcoming KNULL (2026) solo series by Ewing, Tom Waltz, and Juanan Ramirez. Spider-Editor Nick Lowe also unveiled DEATH SPIRAL, a crossover putting Peter Parker’s Spider-Man, Mary Jane Watson’s Venom, and Eddie Brock’s Carnage on a violent collision course.

During the X-Men Panel, Conductor of X Tom Brevoort and Editor in Chief C.B. Cebulski, alongside a wealth of Marvel Comics talent, shed some light on the SHADOWS OF TOMORROW. Armed with knowledge from the AGE OF REVELATION, the X-Men must now prevent that dystopian future from coming to pass. SHADOWS OF TOMORROW marks a new era of X-Men storytelling, unfolding in the pages of returning ongoing series, as well as new titles and limited series.

The Next Big Thing Panel ushered in the future of Marvel Comics across multiple realities, starting with the end of the Ultimate Universe. Conceived with an endpoint in mind, that being the return of the Maker in ULTIMATE ENDGAME, all the series in the Ultimate Universe will conclude in the coming months. Meanwhile, back on Earth-616, the aftermath of ONE WORLD UNDER DOOM reverberates in the DUNGEONS OF DOOM, while IRON MAN takes flight in an all-new series by Joshua Williamson and Carmen Carnero.
