If you’re one of the many, many fans excited to see Marvel Studios’ “Avengers: Infinity War,” we’ve got very good news for you, as the release date has been moved up to April 27! Fans will now be able to globally experience the film together, as it will be released worldwide on the same date.

The announcement came via a Twitter exchange between none other than Robert Downey Jr. and Marvel Studios, as the Iron Man actor asked if he could see the movie a bit earlier… and got a happy reply.

As the Avengers and their allies have continued to protect the world from threats too large for any one hero to handle, a new danger has emerged from the cosmic shadows: Thanos. A despot of intergalactic infamy, his goal is to collect all six Infinity Stones, artifacts of unimaginable power, and use them to inflict his twisted will on all of reality. Everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment – the fate of Earth and existence itself has never been more uncertain.

“Avengers: Infinity War” opens in theaters on April 27. Stay tuned to Marvel.com, follow @Avengers on Twitter, and Like “The Avengers” on Facebook for the latest on the Avengers as it develops!
