‘Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends’ Renewed for a Fifth Season

Team Spidey is suiting up for a new adventure.

Peter Parker, Gwen Stacy, and Miles Morales are swinging into a new season.

Disney Branded Television announced Thursday that Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends will return for season 5. The beloved preschool series comes from Disney Jr. and Marvel, and it follows the adventures of Team Spidey as they team up with Super Heroes to defeat foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.  Geared toward preschoolers and their families, the Spidey Team models the importance of helping others and highlights themes of friendship, cooperation, and problem-solving.

Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends is what happens when two storytelling powerhouses — Marvel and Disney Jr. — come together to introduce the next generation to the world of Super Heroes,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television. “We love this show, and it’s been incredible to see how much kids do too. Team Spidey’s adventures aren’t slowing down anytime soon, and we can’t wait to bring even more stories, characters and action-packed fun for years to come.”

Brad Winderbaum, head of Marvel Television and Marvel Animation, continued, “Spider-Man is one of Marvel’s most iconic characters, beloved by fans of all ages for over 60 years. These characters can speak to audiences of all ages, and Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends is a fun, vibrant entry point for kids to the wider Marvel Universe. There’s plenty more adventures ahead for Spidey, Spin, and Ghost-Spider, and we’re excited to partner with Disney Branded Television on a fifth season.”

Season three of the hit series is currently airing on Disney Jr., with some episodes available on Disney+. Season four is set to debut this summer and will introduce a new “Water-Webs” storyline where Team Spidey receives new water-themed powers and pirate suits. All episodes of seasons one and two are available to stream on Disney+.

Marvel’s Spidey and his Amazing Friends is produced by Disney Jr. and Marvel Studios in association with Atomic Cartoons. Harrison Wilcox, Bart Jennett, and Chris Moreno are executive producers, alongside Becca Topol, who serves as producer/story editor, and Steve Grover as supervising producer. The series features music by Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy), who serves as composer, songwriter and also performs the theme song.
