A member of the reclusive, genetically divergent Deviant race, Ereshkigal claimed to be several millennial old. With her shape-shifting ability, she assumed many forms over the centuries, usually appearing as the Mesopotamian death goddess Ereshkigal, with whom she shares the same name. Like her parents before her, Ereshkigal explored other dimensions. Learning of the existence of the cosmic judge known as the Living Tribunal, Ereshkigal became convinced that the universe was too orderly, and set out to defy the laws of the universe.
