Jarhead is a dutiful member of the Luminals, ready to obey the orders of his team leader, Cynosure. He was by her side when it was believed Skrull invaders were in hiding on Knowhere, and he was in agreement with her when she wanted to put an alien being from inside The Fault on trial for killing their teammate, Massdriver. Due to customs on their home planet of Xarth Three, Jarhead took a more dominant role in dealing with Star-Lord and the Guardians of the Galaxy over the matter, but he was still acting with Cynosure's agenda in mind. When Cynosure was kidnapped along with Moondragon, now serving as a host body for the evil entity, Jarhead assembled every Luminal – active, reserve, honorary or retired – to back up the Guardians in rescuing both women from the clutches of the Universal Church of Truth.
