Biography

Biography

Wakandan Queen Nanali guides her sons in the ways of their home country and bravely defends them against attackers.

Royal Beginnings

Nanali marries Wakandan King and Black Panther, Azzuri the Wise. She bears two sons, T’Chaka and S’yan, with the former first in line to the throne.

Protective Mother

Nanali is a protective mother, who stands in front of those who would harm her sons.

Threats to Her Family

Enemies of Nanali and her family include the armless Gustav Hertz, AKA Tiger Man, who holds T’Chaka hostage on orders from Nazi Johann Schmidt, AKA Red Skull.

Another foe of Nanali’s is Nazi Fritz Klaw, AKA Colonel Klaw, who attempts to pilfer the African nation Wakanda’s Vibranium, a rare material that could absorb vibrations. Klaw kills her to get what he wants.

The Allied Forces

During World War I, Nanali’s husband allies with Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America, and the Howling Commandos, including United States soldier Gabe Jones, who saves her son T’Chaka from a grisly fate.

In Defense of Her Country

As her sons begin to fight, desiring to be at their father’s side to help against the invaders, Nanali breaks them up, reminding them that they cannot be at war at home and with the outside world.

When the Nazis attacked Wakanda in search of their precious resource, Vibranium, Nanali set out to find her boys. Once she did, she and her sons encountered Tiger Man, who had killed many of their fellow Wakandans. Nanali stepped in front of her children to protect them, but her son T’Chaka charged forward to defend his family. Tiger Man took him down with one swift kick to the face, and threatened to take his life, noting that the Wakandans were beaten. Suddenly, U.S. soldier and Howling Commando Gabe Jones shot Tiger Man in the head, saving the young prince, and Nanali reunited with her son.

Nanali faced her final foe when Netherlands-based Colonel Fritz Klaw, an ally of the Third Reich, sought Wakanda’s Vibranium. He murdered Nanali to do so.
