Biography

Biography

Takami is a reliable and loyal citizen and scientist of Wakanda, lending his knowledge of Vibranium to the Royal Scientific Development Division.

Royal Scientist

Wakandan-born, Takami grows up to become a scientist. He works in the Royal Palace under King T’Chaka, AKA Black Panther.

Technology Expert

A renowned scientist and technology expert, Takami works for Wakanda’s Royal Scientific Development Division. He is knowledgeable in Wakanda’s natural resource, Vibranium, and helps usher in a golden age of technological development.

Wakandan Allies

Takami works alongside the Chief Scientist of Wakanda, N’Yami on advancing the country’s technology through the study of their precious resource, Vibranium. When King T’Chaka shows interest in her, Takami starts calling her his queen. Takami is a supportive colleague and friend to N’Yami.

Subversive Enemies

Takami’s enemies include the subversive organization Hydra and their leader Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, Baron Strucker, when they attack Wakanda. He also is slain by an ally N’Jadaka, also known as Erik Killmonger, who turns on him for reasons unknown to Takami.

Scientific Report

Takami assisted T’Chaka after a battle with subversive Hydra agents led by Baron Strucker. Takami reassured him that their border wall maintained structural integrity. When T’Chaka suggested that he reach out to his adopted brother Hunter, AKA the White Wolf, to look for any other signs of encroachment, Takami gulped and had to then deliver bad news that the queen was unwell.

Queen N’Yami fell ill from an autoimmune disease, so King T’Chaka turned to his scientists and advisers. Takami suggested reaching out to the American Howard Stark for help. T’Chaka struck a trade with the inventor, Vibranium for a super-booster shot of medicine, which Stark referred to as “gene juice.” Though the medicine did not reach Wakanda in time due to Wakandan traitors destroying the transport carrying it.

Though N’Yami died from her illness and with T’Chaka assassinated sometime later, Takami stayed on with the Royal Scientific Development Division to honor their memory. However, when Sci-Dev shifted their priorities during S’yan’s rule, Takami didn’t agree with them and left. He returned much later as an elder when T’Challa, AKA Black Panther, was grown and requested him to rejoin Sci-Dev as a connection to the past. After N’Jadaka (Killmonger) requested Takami’s help testing his new research in mapping brainwave energy to preserve memories, Takami welcomed him to his lab in Southeast Wakanda. Killmonger placed headgear on Takami and mapped his memories of N’Yami and T’Chaka, but secretly sought out an old weapon, the Vibranium shock bomb. Shortly thereafter, Killmonger admired an old spear once wielded by the Wakandan warrior Cangza, and then used it against Takami, piercing him through the chest, killing him.
