Free Comic Book Day 2019 Features New Stories Starring the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Venom

It's that time of year again -- Free Comic Book Day 2019 is tomorrow, Saturday, May 4, and Marvel has some new offerings at your local comic shop for long-time fans and newcomers who are itching to dive into the Marvel Universe! Some of Marvel's most celebrated creators have offered up action-packed stories featuring the Avengers, Spider-Man, and Venom. Both FCBD AVENGERS #1 and FCBD SPIDER-MAN #1 will be double features with two separate stories inside.

FCBD AVENGERS #1 will include a new tale written by Jason Aaron with art by Stefano Caselli that spins off the current AVENGERS series. The other story, SAVAGE AVENGERS, written by Gerry Duggan with art by Mike Deodato Jr., also spins off the brand new series that began its run this week and assembles the deadliest group of heroes! FCBD SPIDER-MAN #1 will see the Spider-Verse collide when writers Tom Taylor and Saladin Ahmed join forces with artist Cory Smith to bring Peter Parker and Miles Morales together in a new Spidey story! This issue will also feature a prelude to this summer's ABSOLUTE CARNAGE event with a Venom story written by Donny Cates with art by Ryan Stegman. Here's the cover by Stegman and Frank Martin:
