'Marvel Swimsuit Special: Friends, Foes, & Rivals' #1 Sneak Peek Brings the Summer Heat to the Marvel Universe

This summer, the heroes of the Marvel Universe make a splash with the return of the iconic MARVEL SWIMSUIT SPECIAL. The once-annual one-shot showcased fan-favorite characters in beach attire and swimwear throughout the '90s, drawn by top talent in the industry. From swimsuit pin-ups to a lighthearted story tying the issue together, MARVEL SWIMSUIT SPECIAL: FRIENDS, FOES, & RIVALS #1 brings everything fans loved about the original specials to the present day.

When Roxxon Comics released an unauthorized swimsuit special, Janet Van Dyne took matters into her own hands and assembled Earth's heroes to take pictures of their own. With the help of the Avengers, X-Men, Fantastic Four, and more, the Wasp pulled out all the stops for a globe-trotting swimwear photoshoot. The preview also unveils two of the many pin-ups featured in MARVEL SWIMSUIT SPECIAL: FRIENDS, FOES, & RIVALS #1. Luciano Vecchio gets Luke Cage and Danny Rand ready for an outdoor ice bath, while Marguerite Sauvage captures a romantic poolside moment between Rogue and Gambit. The issue will also feature art from Mirka Andolfo, Mahmud Asrar, Joshua Cassara, Nic Klein, Aaron Kuder, Ron Lim, David Marquez, and Ryusei Yamada.
