'Storm' #2 Preview Sees Earth’s Mightiest Mutant Soar in a New Suit

When STORM hit shelves earlier this month, acclaimed writer Murewa Ayodele and superstar artist Lucas Werneck created a whirlwind by ushering in a new status quo for Earth’s Mightiest Mutant after the fall of Krakoa. In STORM (2024) #1, the lightning wielding goddess dived straight into a nuclear meltdown, the radiation of which is now poisoning her. But that won't stop Ororo Monroe from taking the world by storm.

In STORM (2024) #2, Ororo will look for a cure to her condition, seeking the help of the Night Nurse and Doctor Voodoo. As Storm weathers the turbulence ahead, readers will get a deeper look into her status quo as Earth's protector, from her suits to her new base of operations, the Storm Sanctuary.

The preview for STORM #2 opens with Storm soaring above the sea in her brand-new suit, dubbed the "Brutal Storm Costume" by Murewa Ayodele. Freezing the waves beneath her feet, Ororo skates right into the heart of the action, taking down seaborne gunmen terrorizing the oceans. Later, at the Storm Sanctuary, Ororo looks after the animals in her care. Then, in a jolt of lightning, Earth's Mightiest Mutant bolts off to where she is needed next.
