Women of Marvel On Solidarity and Further Listening

Download now!

Today, Women of Marvel is taking a step back to acknowledge the current state of unrest in the United States, and to stand in solidarity with the Black community.

"To be abundantly clear, we stand against racism, we stand with our fellow Black employees, storytellers, and creators, and we stand with the entire Black community when we say Black Lives Matter," states host Angélique Roché.

"Women of Marvel is and has always been about honest conversations with incredible people changing the narrative," continues Angélique. "It's about celebrating those who strive to make our stories reflect who we are, to make them more inclusive, connecting us all to the Marvel Universe. And most importantly, Women of Marvel has been about listening."

In place of an episode this week, Angélique reflects on this moment and recommends five other podcasts to listen to. These are shows that give historical context to #BlackLivesMatter, amplify the work of journalists of color, and celebrate Black joy.
