NYCC 2019: 'Marvel’s Iron Man VR' Launches February 28, 2020

If you’ve ever wanted to step into Tony Stark’s shoes, literally, you’ll be able to with Marvel’s Iron Man VR, exclusively on PlayStation VR. Check out the brand new trailer for Marvel’s Iron Man VR above!

Brendan Murphy, lead writer on Marvel’s Iron Man VR from Camouflaj, explained during the Marvel Games panel at New York Comic-Con 2019 that he and his team “approached our big story moments with humor, heart, and suspense—attributes that map perfectly with Tony Stark.” This allows players to actually embody Tony, by interacting with the world around him, choosing dialogue beats, and going throughout your day both in and out of the Iron Man suits. Additionally, Murphy explained that his team worked with Marvel writer Christos Gage to help with additional story and add in some “Marvel-ness” into the script.

One thing that’s stayed the same throughout the whole creation process is that Ghost was always going to be Marvel’s Iron Man VR main antagonist. Murphy continued, “In our game, Ghost is a great foil for Tony Stark—she not only holds a grudge against our hero, but holds a mirror up to him. As a witness to the damage caused by Stark-made weapons years earlier, Ghost’s fight against Iron Man is both ideological and personal. Because of Ghost, our complex and fascinating hero must reconcile his troubled past, both on and off the battlefield.”

Marvel’s Iron Man VR is available for pre-order now and will be available on February, 28 2020.

The standard edition of the game retails for $39.99 USD MSRP/$49.99 CAD MSRP (Available physically & digitally) and the Digital Deluxe Edition retails for  $49.99 USD MSRP/$59.99 CAD MSRP.

The digital Deluxe Edition includes the game along with: 4 Deluxe Edition Deco Armors (Golden Avenger, Black Centurion, Sun Stinger, Stealth Armor); 12 Research Points – Research Points are gained by analyzing combat data from Iron Man's performance in the field. This research and analysis allows Friday to develop new technology (weapons and augments) for the Impulse Suit.
