'Marvel's Spider-Man 2' Pop-Up Event in New York City Sends Fans on The Great Hunt

Marvel's Spider-Man 2 was the talk of the town today, and not just because it's finally Release Day! Spidey Super Fans took over the streets of New York City as they joined The Great Hunt, a real-life scavenger hunt presented by PlayStation and Marvel Games, together with partners adidas, BAIT, Haerfest and Warby Parker. All throughout the borough of Brooklyn, fans gathered clues, collected free giveaways and followed the trail to a secret Spidey Lounge!

Starting at Smith Street and Fulton Avenue, participants in The Great Hunt were immediately gifted a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 lanyard and PlayStation tote bag (which definitely came in handy for all the giveaways during the hunt!). Throughout the hunt, players could also receive PlayStation Stars Digital Collectibles to showcase in their PlayStation apps, including Marvel's Spider-Man 2 pizza boxes, Daily Bugle in-game assets and Coney Island Carnival booths.

From there, they set off to three separate destinations, where they picked up "Molecule Cards", which were clear cards that stacked on top of each other to unveil a QR code. The QR code was the key to revealing the final destination: the exclusive Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Spidey Lounge!

There were plenty of sights to see along the way with The Spider-Bot Sighting Challenge. We tried to find all three scattered around the city streets—sometimes tucked away among the treetops or dangling from street signs. You even received your own Spider-Bot keychain once you completed the challenge! With over 40+ Spider-Bots in Marvel's Spider-Man 2, we know players will have plenty of fun looking for these Spider-Bots in the game too!

The three destinations were unmistakable once you saw them—adidas and Warby Parker had a familiar famous symbiote displayed in their storefronts, and BAIT had its own Daily Bugle newsstand! As if seeing these pop-ups weren't cool enough, there was plenty of swag to pick up as well. At adidas, a vending machine offered visitors a chance to win a Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition PS5 Bundles, PS5+ Voucher Cards or adidas x Marvel's Spider-Man 2 tumblers. There was no shortage of style as fans were also gifted Haerfest beanies, caps and bucket hats, and even exclusive Venom lens cloths from Warby Parker that were beautifully wrapped in Marvel's Spider-Man 2 packaging.

The Spidey Lounge was full of its own surprises as fans were rewarded with game demos, photo ops, refreshments provided by Coke Co., and could enter a sweepstakes for a chance to receive prizes for completing The Great Hunt. The first to arrive also got to pick up a special Timed Edition Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Mondo poster, PlayStation tumbler and PlayStation beanie!

The sweepstakes provided additional excitement with its array of high-end prizes for the winners: Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Limited Edition Bundles, digital copies of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 and Warby Parker | Marvel's Spider-Man 2 Eyewear Frames. We're jealous of the lucky winners!
