This Week in Marvel Draws the 'X of Swords' and Breaks Down the 'WandaVision' Trailer

So much news in one powerful podcast!

This Week in Marvel WandaVision

The X-Men are getting a fantasy makeover, and This Week in Marvel has the magicians in charge of the latest mutant event! Ryan "Agent M" Penagos and Lorraine Cink welcome writer Tini Howard and artist Pepe Larraz to the show to discuss X OF SWORDS, the newest phase of Marvel's merry mutants! Hear how Tarot cards, dragons, and more came into play while creating this sensational story for the X-Men. Here's a preview of the conversation:

Tini Howard on how to pronounce X OF SWORDS: “I say ‘Ten of Swords,' which is a little wonky and it confused people, but you can just blame X-Men scribe Jonathan Hickman ‘cause it was his POWERS OF X. And I looked at that and I said 'Wait, we can do that?’ So get ready for 'House of 1000' when we do HOUSE OF M again.”

Pepe Larraz on designing the characters: “So I made these super complicated designs thinking, ‘Okay, if anyone else has to draw them, it’s not my problem’… So it was my surprise when it turned out that I was the guy.”

Get the inside story on X OF SWORDS and hear Ryan and Lorraine break down the new trailer for Marvel Studios' WandaVision, coming later this year exclusively to Disney+! Plus: The new release dates for the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!
