In another reality, Caledonia is the last of the royal Stuart line, making her the rightful heir to the Highland Scottish throne and the mantle of Captain Britain. Though her native homeland suffers an invasion and leaves her as the sole survivor, she makes it her mission to serve and protect those under her care.
From Chains to Corps
On Earth-9809, where Scotland remains an independent nation, Alysande "Sandy" Stuart, a descendent of the Scottish royal line, is her reality’s representative of the Omniversal Corps. When an unspecified empire invades, the Highlanders are slaughtered for refusing to submit, until apparently Caledonia is the only survivor. Alysande is then enslaved and eventually transported to the Omniverse’s Prime Continuum, where, under unrevealed circumstances, she is apparently transferred to the Corps’ custody.
A Warrior
Alysande can transform into Caledonia instantaneously, either via will or an undisclosed artifact. She possesses peak human strength, enhanced agility and reflexes, and is an exceptional acrobat and world-class swordswoman. Her armor protects against attack, but is not apparently bullet or sword proof. She wields a basket-hilted claymore forged from an unspecified but extremely durable metal.
Captors and Contenders
Though the invaders of Scotland remain unrevealed, they enslave Alysande. Once she escapes, they send extra-dimensional hunter Bounty after her, whom she must defend herself from.
While living in reality Earth-616, she goes up against the Amazon warrior woman Hippolyta and God of the Dead, Hades, AKA Pluto, defending her charges.
Fantastic Friends
Alysande befriends Earth-616’s Fantastic Four and cares for the young Franklin Richards as his nanny. She extends her protective nature to his sister Valeria Richards, AKA Marvel Girl, even though she can handle herself in a fight.
A Protector’s History
Visiting the Continuum, Earth-616’s Johnny Storm, AKA Human Torch, witnessed Alysande struggling with her captors, rescued her and smuggled her back to his reality, where she befriended the Fantastic Four. Since Johnny saved her life, she felt she owed him a debt, which in her clan meant it would last a lifetime. But Johnny did not require such a debt to be paid. She instead became nanny to young Franklin Richards, Johnny’s nephew.
Though Caledonia’s former captors hired extradimensional hunter Bounty to reclaim her, but Bounty’s attempt to do so at the FF’s Pier 4 was interrupted by Amazon queen Hippolyta’s Bacchäe, themselves seeking vengeance against the FF. They abducted all present but when Caledonia challenged and defeated Hippolyta in single combat, the Amazon’s master, the Olympian (Graeco-Roman) god Pluto, transported Caledonia to Tartarus for the affront. The other former captives, including Bounty, alerted the FF and pursued, and the FF ultimately ended the incident by enlisting Pluto’s wife, Persephone, to chastise her misbehaving spouse. Bounty abandoned her assignment, and Caledonia continued to look after Franklin, accompanying Franklin and his sister Valeria to the extraterrestrial Haven boarding school, and assisting the FF against the sorcerer Jihad, before finally leaving the FF’s company.
