As one of many Spider-Totems from across the Multiverse, Earth-2818’s Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, gets caught in a war against the vampiric Inheritors. When he encounters a group of Spider-People, he’s nicknamed “Spider-Cyborg” because of his many cybernetic enhancements.
Alternate Universe
When Morlun and his family, the vampiric Inheritors, kick off a killing spree of Spider-Totems, it encompasses the entire Multiverse and Spider-Cyborg is no exception. He faces an attack by the Inheritor Karn and soon meets other Spider-Totems like himself.
Cybernetic Enhancements
Peter possesses hidden cybernetic augmentations, including a sonic cannon that erupts from his back. His right arm can transform into a gun, and he possesses a red lens over his left eye.
When Spider-Cyborg’s cybernetic arm gets destroyed, Otto Octavius, AKA Doctor Octopus, as Superior Spider-Man whips up an upgraded arm that allows Spider-Cyborg to interface with the future's databases undetected in year 2099.
Spider-Foes
The Inheritors are Spider-Cyborg’s most fearsome foes. Spider-Cyborg goes up against the Inheritor Karn and survives the attack thanks to assistance from his Spider-Totem allies. He also battles Karn’s siblings Brix and Bora, and goes head-to-head with Inheritor Daemos, who electrocutes him to death.
Spider-Friends
Spider-Cyborg allies with Spider-Totems from across the Multiverse in the Spider-Army to fight in a war against their collective enemies, the vicious and deadly Inheritors.
He first joins the Superior Spider-Army led by Superior Spider-Man (actually Otto Octavius, AKA Doctor Octopus, in the body of Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, both of Earth-616). His Superior Spider-Army allies include Pavitr Prabhakar, AKA Spider-Man (Earth-50101), Peter B. Parker, AKA Spider-Man Noir (Earth-90214), Peter Parker, AKA Six-Armed Spider-Man (Earth-92100), Ashely Barton, AKA Spider-Girl (Earth-807128), Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Monkey (Earth-8101), and Peter Parker, AKA Assassin Spider-Man (Earth-8351).
Along with the Superior Spider-Army, Spider-Cyborg bands together with the Spider-Army led by Billy Braddock, AKA Spider-UK, to help defeat the Inheritors.
Sticky Situations
While battling Karn in the West Side Yards in Manhattan, Spider-Cybrog survived a vicious stab in the back, thanks to his cybernetic sonic canon, which blew the Inheritor back. Though Spider-Cyborg soon faced Karn’s brother Brix who trapped him with a multi-tailed whip. Once trapped, Brix pressed a button on the hilt which activated spikes, causing Spider-Cyborg to yell out. Brix pulled on his whip and broke off Spider-Cyborg’s cybernetic arm. Several other Spiders dragged him out of harm’s way. Karn, turned on his siblings, humiliated by their intervention, and it allowed the Spider-Totems to escape through a portal to the future, the year 2099. Though Spider-Cyborg worried that the Inheritors would wreck his city, it was Superior Spider-Man who reassured him that they were only after Spiders. Superior whipped up an upgraded arm for Spider-Cyborg. As the Spiders regrouped, Spider-Cyborg was effectively recruited into the interdimensional Spider-Army in an all-out war against the Inheritors.
When Spider-Cyborg and Superior’s Spider-Army gathered on Earth-13 with other Spider-Totems, the Inheritor Daemos attacked, looking for his next meal. Spider-Cyborg fought Daemos and as Daemos electrocuted him, the Inheritor claimed that Spider-Cyborg was not a real totem, possibly on account of his cybernetic enhancements.
