Vex was a member of the Coven Cult that was responsible for trying to bring the Dark Age of Man to Earth at the end of each century. He was one of the three lower leaders of the Cult that served under the telepath Blood Shadow. He proved that he was a crafty strategist by setting a plan in place to have Wolverine kill their assassins so that he could read the intestines of the fallen cultist. Vex fought Wolverine along with Fetish and Satyr, when he attempted to steal the Tear of Heaven.
